I printed this elephant two times, but with other filament. No bubbles, no problem except that on the second print I was unable to free the head.by Treito - Ormerod
Oops, mine is too from 3dfilaments.ie. But It printed the best, so maybe it was not water inside the filament? I have filament here that is one year old and I have much moisture in the air and I have no problem with my filament. Even my ABS is dry.by Treito - Ormerod
I did not try Dolphin browser yet. This should install also on older Android devices.by Treito - Ormerod
Quotedmould I am very surprised that 3dfilaprint sent an unsealed reel. I get all my filament from them, and they always arrive in vacuum sealed thick plastic with silica gel, and the box contains an empty ziplock bag to put the reel in once opened. Definitely something to complain to them about. Dave My filament arrived two days ago. It was not sealed either only with ceran wrap. But I got tby Treito - Ormerod

Many thanks for the answer. My problem is probably this little rod on the x-carriage. It is a little bit too small. Nevertheless I am going to check this to be 100% sure.by Treito - Ormerod
Quotezombiepantslol I haven't forgotten about your Move improvements either, it's just the fact that they're quite vast which means I'll definitely need some more time to get them sorted. But I'll gratefully adopt your improvements when I find time, IMO your new move code does run a lot smoother than the old DDA implementation! I also tried my Android phone and did not get any connection. As long as the Mac-Address or the port from the router does not change there should be no problem with ARP. And after flashing the firmware I rebooted the Ormerod several times. To be honest I do not know if a reboot is necessary after using bossac, so I turn of the power of my Ormerod. In 1h or 1,5h I will try it again. If the webinteby Treito - Ormerod
Okay I can give this a try, but at the moment I am printing a cuteOcto. That is going to be my second one. I am testing my new filament from Ireland especially this interesting looking yellow flou.by Treito - Ormerod

You only need to rename libGL.so.1.2 in the folder DLL. This does not like the NVidia driver. Compiling from scratch unfortunately did not work for me.by Treito - Ormerod
As I said that was some kind of rumor and most magazines told you to change your local IP-address. As I said, I did not believe in this. As long as you use a private B-class or C-class nobody could enter. But the problem was that somebody could exchange the firmware of your router and than could enter your local IP network. but this was a problem roughly 10 years ago. And for this time I changedby Treito - Ormerod
Hello dmould, QuoteTreito Here is the config.g with some parts removed from the IP. Background: Some years ago it was mentioned that you should not provide your internal IP-address for safety reasons because of the firmware of this wide spreaded type of router here in Germany. I do not know and cannot imagine that this is still the case. I did my Technician with the main part regarding networkiby Treito - Ormerod
Generally one information is missing: Which OS do you use with Slic3r? Running a linux 64-bit-System I was not able to start Slic3r 1.2.6 as it crashed immediately. The reason was quite simple: One delivered .lib was incompatible with recent graphics driver from Nvidia starting with 340.xx, I think. I had to rename one lib to get Slic3r run. Maybe it is a similar problem even though it crashed soby Treito - Ormerod
Quotezombiepantslol Changing from dc42's firmware to my fork shouldn't be a big deal. It's quite surprising that you don't get an Ethernet connection because our forks use basically the same implementation, so it's hard to guess why it isn't working for you. Could you post your config.g file? I was also astonished. I flashed the 1.09a-dc42 without changing anything else and I got a connection, bby Treito - Ormerod
Hello, I tried to change from firmware 1.04f-dc42 to RepRap 1.09 or 1.08zpl. Both was impossible. M503 showed me the correct and complete config.g but I did not get any Ethernet connection. Do I have something to change in the config.g? I thought the fork from zpl is based on the fork from dc42? I would like to test something (my circle problem) as I read that some controlling differs.by Treito - Ormerod
Quotedroftarts Quotedc42 Please note that the pneumatic connectors lose their grip after you have removed and replaced the Bowden tube several times. So get plenty of spare connectors, and only remove the Bowden tube from the connector when you have to. That's pretty much the reason we don't use them. QuoteDarathy The weight of the HotEnd should push the bearing against the acrylic ,check that the cable is not pulling it up. Yes of course, but there is much movement, so as soon as the extruder is over the printed part it is moved up and if not it is standing diagonal. I think that is the problem. Some movement should be but I think my movement is too much. I have no other explantion for my pby Treito - Ormerod
I have an idea for this problem. I redrawed an object new and I sliced it new (changed from Cura to Slic3r). The first time I got some errors using Slic3r but this time everything was alright. But then I could watch a strange phenomena: My problems rotated by 45°. Now the length of the X axis and Y axis did not fit but the diagonals. And also the inner circle seemed to nearly fit (320mm - max. 0.by Treito - Ormerod
I triple checked the pulleys already, added Y belt clamps and tighten the X belt. I cannot screw the grub screw any further without breaking it. The dimensions in the x direction and in the y direction fits, that is the strange part of this.by Treito - Ormerod
Hello Ian, it is indeed not a problem with the slicing software. I do not think that you can see the problem on a picture. Let me try to explain: If I print a circle and measure the diameter according to the X axis or the Y axis everything is alright. If i measure diagonal the diameter is missing roughly 0.5 mm. Maybe I have an idea how to take some photos, but it will not be easy.by Treito - Ormerod
Quoteiamburny Here is a version of MasonStoneHenges Spring loaded extruder arm, modified to take a pneumatic bowden connector Is this version for a M5 nut? I am afraid that this problem effects me too but I need to know which pneumatic connector I have to buy.by Treito - Ormerod
QuoteDarathy Strange ,i am using Slic3r 1.2.6 and when i printed benchy some sizes were as described but some were off by 0.3 ,i still think its a calibration issue tho ,i havent tested with Cura yet but will soon. The strange think is that using Slic3r 1.1.7 also hits the dimensions, but Slic3r 1.2.6 seems to differ roughly 0.3-0.5mm. Be careful testing Cura as it only supports absolute Extrudeby Treito - Ormerod
What about the firmware 1.09? Cura did not help. Some details are much better, some not, but my circles are still not circles. But cura hits the dimensions a little bit better. Strange is that my circles most differ roughly 0.5mm independently from the diameter. I tested last an object with a diameter of 45mm. I am using the firmware from DC42. but in the meantime the firmware from ZPL seems to bby Treito - Ormerod
Nobody an idea? Maybe it is Slic3r 1.2.6. I am testing this at the moment. Printinting the 3DBenchy with generated G-Code from Slic3r 1.2.6 fails in the dimensions. With Cura the dimensions are okay but at one place it does not look as good as Slic3r. So Slic3r 1.1.7? But this is extremely slow and I did not test the accuracy yet.by Treito - Ormerod
So I finished the maintenance and still no luck. Now comes the strange part: The part should have been printed with a diameter of 47.00 mm. In X direction I got 46.70 mm In Y direction I got 46.60 mm In X/Y direction I got 46.20 mm(!). I have completely no idea.by Treito - Ormerod
