Here it is working. let me know what you think,by makerparts - Reprappers
Hoping to get some feedback on this design of a XY Gantry A Special gantry for openbuilds vslot using Mini V wheels it also include the ABL (Auto Bed Levelling) Micro switch so when pressure is applied to the nozzle it hinged upward slightly to trigger the microswitch Videoby makerparts - Reprappers
never heard of a pei coating on aluminum, I have a piece of PEI plastic 1/32" thick mounted onto Boro Glassby makerparts - General
I have used the same sheet of pei for one year, with hundreds of prints on it so far I have had many nozzle touches without issue ive had a hot hozzle sitting on the surface for minutes without any damage I dont usually clean the surface, dont need too. I also tend to print with PETGby makerparts - General
if this is something that only needs to happen once and never again. and could affect users. might be something that you should apply to each product before it ships just incase users do not have a strong enough heat bed.by makerparts - General
QuoteMutley3D IF after the above you still have issues with your ABS you can seed the bed with a very very weak ABS/Acetone solution, paint it on when cold, then clean the bed again with just acetone and clean cloth/kitchen towel. OR wet a kitchen towel with acetone, drop a short piece of skirt onto the bed and wipe around, and then clean again with just acetone kitchen towel. This should sort yby makerparts - General
I loaded up repetier and can control it no issue. when i try Marlin 1.1 RC3, RC4 or RC5 Bugfix i cant connect unless I turn off start up code in simplify3d but then it wont respond to gcode also when I try to connect with S3D i notice that the rumba resets.by makerparts - General
more robust then Pei? pei has a higher melting temp then the typical nozzle temp even for ABS/PETG hitting PEI with a hot nozzle does Zero damage in my experience.. not sure how much more robust then Zero damage you can get lolby makerparts - General
this stuff sounds basically like PEI. is it? if not what makes it better then PEI?by makerparts - General
I installed Marlin 1.1 RC5 (bugfix) on my Rumba board, via Arduino IDE. with no issues Im running Windows 10 64 I installed simlify3d but i cannot connect to the rumba Ive tried different ports, USB Ports, USB Cables, Drivers sleep disables on USB Hubs/controllers two different computers..also tried with Pronterface.. cant connect to control Baud is set to 115200 com 3 it shows up proplerly inby makerparts - General

Your problem is that your printing with ABS.. its not a safe plastic. Try Petg it doesnt shrink/ warp nearly as much as ABS and its saferby makerparts - General
I see people always mounting a Linear Rail to some extrusion. if the load is light (1kg) and the span is 20 or 30 inches is full support required? or can it just be supported on ends.. assuming a 20mm railby makerparts - Mechanics
Quotestephenrc You could use more than one belt. Does that just introduce more slack / tension issuesby makerparts - Mechanics
Quotedintid Quotemakerparts 1 Motor driving 4 screws, seems ok. but finding a long Gt2 Loop that is over 2000mm is a challenge RobotDigg deliver belts up to 50m length Yes but they have a min qty of like 100 belts I believe.by makerparts - Mechanics

Im looking for some SR20 Sizes Rail and blocks can anyone recommend a good value / source Looking for 2 rails that are 19" long and one rail that is 29" long + 3 blocksby makerparts - Mechanics
Do you still need endstops when using a servo? or does it just know its limits. If power is off does remember its position when powered back on?by makerparts - Mechanics
Check out these servos from Teknic called Clearpath they are "reasonablly" priced lol at around $350 each not sure how easily you would be able to use this on a Mega board/ Rambo smalled size is Nema 23 I wish they made a Nema 17 size for $200by makerparts - Mechanics
Im working on a CoreXY 12"x24" printer with a fixed Build plate and moving Gantry using the Quad Lead Screw setup. and using Vslot to help keep it aligned. still designing. this thread is helpful. kinda worried about binding.by makerparts - Mechanics
need to put this into some perspective. I think this is a device that can be patented. it has some development required to produce it. its fairly unique compare it to thisby makerparts - General
Can anyone tell me how many microsteps the drivers on the Duet support. is there any point in using a 400 Step Nema 17 vs a 200 step one with the Duet?by makerparts - Ormerod
Based on my guesstimates using that calculator I need 26 oz/in of torque and the stepper i want to use makes 66 oz/in torque, at full power Thanks for the link. makes me feel more comfortable.by makerparts - General
So how do you know if the 3d printer your building will work fine with a nema 17 or if you need to opt for a high torque 17 or a Nema 23 without testing I am in the process of building a 12"x24" CoreXY machine using openbuilds vslot rail an wheels. but im concerned that going with a 400 step Nema 17 wont have enough torque. but i want the positioning abilityby makerparts - General
Cant say i have any so far. as im still waiting for my Duet to be delivered. but while im waiting i have been reading up more about how to apply firmware and changes and it seems like there are not many users of the reprapfirmware for duet. and even finding videos or tutorials seem scarce.by makerparts - General
Wish a version of Marlin or Repetier was available for Duetby makerparts - General
Found these Silicone heaters on ebay. they come prewired for 110v AC also come with digital temp control the idea of having a seperate control and not needing to control it in Gcode is appealing Thoughts?by makerparts - Reprappers
