Currently the blue led is on constantly and I can't probe or runG30 as I get an error of probe already triggered.by cwaa - General
How many times must I repeat my self. I removed those files and homed the machine. When I did the D30 it hammered all of the tower endstops and would not stop until I cut power. I reinstalled those files and the machine again responded. So you want me to do that again?by cwaa - General
Having tried that many times, I believe you are wrong. The deploy file will set the start height and then you will probe from there.by cwaa - General
This is from the Orion manual; "When first testing if possible (and easy to do from software) reduce your stepper motor currents to a minimum so that if it does not trigger no damage will occur, this is practical if your motor currents are set from software, i.e. digipot etc.. Move your nozzle away from the bed around 100mm, command a single probe (G30 in most firmware) and then lightly tap theby cwaa - General
Why is it that the red led only blinks occasionally and the blue led is on steady? How is that a configuration issue. I have now ordered another Orion and have asked for directions on how to return the first one. So far I have not received any answer. Like Dc42, I did not understand that a G30 command required the use of the Z-Probe Deploy file. I was trying to slow the z travel speed and tby cwaa - General
Dc42 was not helpful. He recommended removing the z-probe deploy and retract files. When I did, my machine when given a G30, would hammer the tower endstops until I shut it down. I put those files back and my printer again was operational. I believe I have a defective Orion module. I have asked to return it, we will see what the response is.by cwaa - General

Where do you go for support for Precision Piezo Products?by cwaa - General
Has anybody here had experience with the Precision Piezo Orion module. I am trying to install it on a delta and it isn't recognized by my duet board. It sees the signal, but doesn't stop the probe.by cwaa - Duet

I have a delta and I can't get the Orion to work with Duet. I have your Piezo 20 on my cartesian and like it, but I can't get the setup right with Duet. Is there a tutorial?by cwaa - General
You have selective memory. Nice toy though!by cwaa - Reprappers
Mike, I am very capable of building a high quality printer and without RepRap help. Why should I hire someone else to do it for me? I surveyed the industry for months prior to my build and picked up some very useful tips. Now I have a workhorse cartesian and a very stout Delta. Neither have any plastic in the joints or anywhere in the frame. And finally Mike, I am a mature male well able toby cwaa - Reprappers
When did RepRap become so important? I started in 3d printing 3 years ago and didn't use anything from Rep Rap. How is that possible? Well I researched 3d printing for a while and learned a lesson in rigidity. Making frames with plastic joints is not going to make a quality printer. You may be able to print, but it will be a toy needing constant calibration. So if you want to experiment andby cwaa - Reprappers
How is that opinion harmful or disrespectful. I feel the same way.....should I bow my head and shuffle away?by cwaa - Reprappers
What is a Kossel Delta. How does it differ from any other Delta?by cwaa - Delta Machines
Why would someone buy your printer over the hundreds of others available. What makes yours stand out? Price? Quality? New Technology?by cwaa - General
It looks to me as if your filament is not completely contained and is folding. Show a picture of the entry to your extruder and it's exit as well.by cwaa - Reprappers

QuoteGaou Quotedc42 @cwaa, I'd really like to help, but as there is no user account called cwaa on the forum at duet3d.com I can't tell which posts there if any are yours. Did you create an account on the Duet3d forum, and if so, would you mind telling me the name you used? i express my opinion in the past about the quality of ur support that is the only thing higher than the design of ur produby cwaa - General
Look, I have the board set up now with help from the digital dentist and others. I don't need your help now. We will see if the hardware lives up to its "best" reputation because the documentation doesn't. Why don't you update the configurator and put notices out that it only works with one browser. Have you heard of M307? How do you ask questions about the definitions in the configurator???by cwaa - General
Well I value my time and asked specific questions about support and time. I even mentioned I was staying with Smoothie because I knew it. But I listened to the "experts" here and wasted a lot of time. I am now tuning my machine and we will see if the hardware is any good. The Documentation isn't nearly as good as smoothies.by cwaa - General
Best documentation my ass....I got this from the Duet forum...…"The configurator will set the heaters up with M301 commands because it has not kept up with firmware changes. M307 is now the command to use for heater set-up."by cwaa - General
I don't have to do anything!by cwaa - General
