All stocked back up again, with the dollar taking a dive this will be the last time I can do the original pricing on these rolls of plastic, expect the price to go up $5 when next I restock. This time I have good levels of all colours in 1.75mm PLA, the rest I have at least 1 in all colours. The new filament this round is clear ABS, will be test printing in the next couple of days so will postby gazob - Australia - for sale
Recieved a new shipment of Filament last night but havent had a chance to go through the order yet. Should have all colours in all sizes and a new addition of Clear ABS. Would like to test the clear ABS prior to selling as the manufacturer think they have done some tricks with it to make it stick better to the heated bed and bond better between layers. When printing the .5mm thin walled calibration object the actual wall width you are trying to achieve is the wall width listed in the gcode comments. Depending on layer height, and given you havent forced an extrusion width in slicer, slicer will calculate a single wall extrusion width based on nozzle size and layer height. Hope this helps GaZby gazob - Printing

check your attachment between Z threaded rod and motors, mark the threaded rod, connector and motor shaft and try again, marks should remain lined up through the process, a little slip on hard acceleration may be the causeby gazob - Printing

I find the thin walled calibration cube more useful for initially checking filament diameter and esteps. item one from this set after slicing check in the gcode the expected single wall width and then measure the actual wall width and adjust esteps / filament diameter till you are close, then the solid cube to fine tune the esteps / filament diameter. there are some zwobble reducing parts for various printers that stop this driving the head through the bed or printed part phenomonon. It is more a side effect of how the part works. the one i use for the ordbot derived from this part for a prusa that being said i too home to z-max, z-max is a number slightly larger then my z build height, and i set print start height with extruder z offsetby gazob - Reprappers
first improvement that should be on all ordbots and rolled back into the design is a set of these The nutblocks on the Z threaded rods are overconstrained against the makerslide, this leads to binding if not well adjusted and Z wobble apparent in the vertical walls of printed objects. These parts give the nutblock a little frredom in the X and Y direction to move without imparting this movemeby gazob - Extruded Aluminum Frames
I already have an ATI ordbot hadron, when sourcing the parts for this printer may / june of last year I had discussion with the people at RepRapdiscount an ebay seller of electronics from Hong Kong. They too agreed it was a nice platform and unknown to me started the process of sourcing the pieces to supply their own kits. Later in the year they let me know what they were doing and had me testby gazob - Extruded Aluminum Frames

1 - multi printhead, realise its not new, but there arent too many people using 2+ heads, so think this will evolve 2 - mixed colour print head, 1 head fed by 5 or more filament drives would be nice 3 - improved bed surface or heated chamber to allow larger prints without warping. Yeah things got a bit busy since i first posted. My first couple of hulls ended up failing for the reasons given above, to keep it thin enough to be useable it then wasnt thick enough to print correctly, havent really gotten back to this as I need to design a hull theat not only works as a sailboat, but can also be printed easily . FWIW here is my original hull design which is basically just onby gazob - Let's design something! (I've got an idea ...)
I have been using my Ordbot since october last year. I bought one of the ATI kits which i think were sourced from the designer Bart. Mine has been largely trouble free. At the time the build platform kit was $399 plus postage, and I ended up building a pretty reliable printer for less than $800. I have seen some of RRD's ordbot parts, and as mentioned above they have found local sources for aby gazob - General
