I have had it to my ears with the automatic sensor on the rostock H2. The hot end is way too carefully engineered for field assembly to be generally very reliable, and the sensor does not always want to sense. I was thinking about trying to trick the firmware into thinking it was an H2 and I could do the old style manual z height calibration with the know. The routine works very well and seemsby NOVAprint - Delta Machines
Actualy going to print them right now, I wasa on track but the ceiling at my home is not coopeating so I got a litle side tracked.by NOVAprint - General
I love collaboration, thanks for the upgrade. I will print those too. While you are at it, why not place the holes at the angles that relate to xy and z? The holes are right next to each other now, but if they were 30 degrees separated, ti would make the first few turns of the winding easier.by NOVAprint - General
I will use PTFE on teh Z axis, to avoid teeth interference. I used Made Solid Pet Plus and it was too soft. The gears bend and there are gaps between the snell and the gears such that my filament would creep inside of the body of the gear. So I am reprinting in PLA from Orb Polymer and it is a pretty durable material. Also I will need to reprint my base as well, I made it in PLA with four layby NOVAprint - General
I dont think that the fream radiating out of a center point to three points would not be an improvement for stability, I think of forces as forces and monofilament line is STRONG. Furthermore the stiffness of a singular metal hook might rival that of a joined together triangular frame. If you placed he motors on the frame that would give you a lighter carriage with potentially faster kinematicby NOVAprint - General
Tobben, I qwould like to move the kinemaics to Smoothieware. What is the next step. I just wound my spools tonight I ma going to hang the unit this week I hope.by NOVAprint - General
Tobben, Actually I will likely be amending the file for the Hang printer because the concept of a hole that has PTFE running through it is much faster for me to execute because the fishing rod accessories are still a full week to fifteen days away. I drilled holes in all of the connection points in the frame. I re-printed the worm drive gear (Turns out the Petg that I used was too flexible). Iby NOVAprint - General
Tobben, I do not know how to implant a picture in this blog I am learning that process, I have attached my setup. I have elected to have a reasonably stationary installation first, there are a few things I want to print with the unit right off. So I plan to use it like a standard delta if you will. I have setup an old glass table top and secured it with a few screws on three sides. I am waiby NOVAprint - General
Tobben, are you still using the same top plate? I saw a top plate from the 2015 version but none in the 2016 version. In the latest blog post I could not see any tope plate.by NOVAprint - General
Tobben, I will post a picture for sure., a few note for constructing in the future: 1. ABC conforms to XYZ, I think that A used to be the short one and C the tall one, but I cannot be for sure (I thought I checked the letters on each, but I cannot be sure). I know that I arranged the A and C opposite of each other. Also the D coordinates to E1 E0 is the extruder, I take it. I was tryingby NOVAprint - General
Oops fond the answer, the jumpers are not my real problem either. I am eyeing my power source although that does not make too much sense. Iby NOVAprint - General
Tobben, How many jumpers need to be installed under the polulu's? I have all three installed and now I think it is possible that that is too few steps. Three jumpers is 1/16 steps. two is 1/8 one os 1/4 .by NOVAprint - General
tobben, I seem to notice that you only have one side of the ramps powered. is that correct? I would suspect that only one side of the mofset would be necessary, would you please send a picture of the line voltage going into your ramps?by NOVAprint - General
I was looking at the drive and it seems very interesting, and then again not, only tow motor drivers when in reality at least four are needed, I like the closed loop feedback solution as an option, I was also thinking about the concept of an H bot cube printer, the ones that have one belt that connects the x and y axis. Isn't it possible to have one piece of filament that connects all three axisby NOVAprint - General
A hangount would work for me anytime this Saturday or sunday. Iby NOVAprint - General
Awesome, sorry I did not check this blog earlier to continue our convo. I am trying to mount the Ramps bracket. It has two sets of legs and I cannnot figure out the orientation between the three motors, could you post a picture of the mount orientation?by NOVAprint - General
Tobben, I am having a hackathon at my college in about a month and I would like to know if you would be interested in doing a Google hangout to issue the challenge for the hangprinter? What are the issues that you are encountering, what can we do to improve the design? I think that I will print two units and present them to the group. I hope that I can get it up and running by then. One issby NOVAprint - General
I have printed the parts for the hangprinter version 2 but the bottom plate is not congruent with the Version one bottom plate. I seem to have been caught between your iterations. Anyhow I am interested to see how this works out. is there any way that you could produce a video of your setting a hangprinter up? specifically I am not clear about how and where to set the distances for the ABC anby NOVAprint - General
Ladies and gentlemen, if you use a MAC computer and have recently tried to netfab a file, you received an stl file that was converted to a 3MF file that you cannot use in Slicer. Is there someone who has possibly done some adjustments to slicer to have it accommodate 3MF files? Apparently 3MF is a file format that makes computation easier and faster and also allows for design files and printingby NOVAprint - Developers
Is it possible that your metal surface is not uniform? I use metal backed tape and sometimes the surface could be compromised. Is the probe shifting somehow? Are you sensing two differnt surfaces perhaps? What is your offset for teh probe relative to the sensor?by NOVAprint - Printing
You need to know how you are going to buy it! The makerfarm kits are awesome, I have used three different ones I have built nine Prusa I3s personally, I like the kit ALOT. I like it because it is upgrade-able, and the the company has great customer service. I would suggest direct driven extruder as the only change. The units are upgrade-able and open source, if you buy a makerfarm and want toby NOVAprint - Prusa i3 and variants

I like your design. I would be interested in your progress this far.by NOVAprint - Extruded Aluminum Frames
I hope that you get your problem solved. I would think that it is possible that you do not have the jumpers installed below the printer drivers OR I think you may have had a voltage spike. does the LCD screen work? IF it is clear and working then perhaps you have the drivers in backwards. Look at the driver and motor setup and compare to the others I hope you get your problem solved.by NOVAprint - General Mendel Topics
I took a video of my printer not working . I am having some serious difficulties with my controllers. I do not think that the board is blown, I do not see how ONE port could blow. I do not think that it is the stepper driver, I juggle MULTIPLE ones into that port to no avail. I do not think that it is the feed rate I have had success changing that several times, Ieven changed the max speed, iby NOVAprint - RAMPS Electronics
I have had pretty darn good, whati would call success printing with ABS on my i3 with Magma. A couple things that I have read and that you have not likely been exposed to: 1. Wrap the copper or brass end with Teflon tape that will make the extrusions more precise. 2. I am sure that you are using the fan to cool the hot end, I have been using it and it seems to be working OK for me. I have nby NOVAprint - Printing
