You are absolutely right, sorry for my confusing post!by 3D-ES - OpenSCAD
Hello! I am designing 3D KiCAD PCB parts using OpenSCAD and Wings3D When I import an OpenSCAD STL file in Wings3D, the program always crashes, after repairing the file using meshconv, the STL file no longer crashes Wings3D. Meshconv only changed the normal and vertex locations to floating point values... The STL file format specifies: QuoteThe numerical data in the facet normal and vertex lby 3D-ES - OpenSCAD
Hi phedoreanu! I wrote a script that downloads the tools, compiles the source and uploads the binary, it should work on OSX but I have not tested it recently since I don't own a Macintosh. See - It compiles RepRapPro, dc42 and zombiepantslol's repository. - It does not use Eclipse so you can use any text editor you like. Question for dc42 / zpl: Are you still using Arduino 1.5.4 or is thereby 3D-ES - Ormerod
Quotesheepdog43 Moving the top to tighten belts compromises the frames structural rigidity and effects alignment. You have to make a choice, you can either twist the entire frame to tighten a belt, or you allow some slop to allow for the top to be twisted without effecting the rest of the frame. Not both, at least not with how the Kossel does it. Every time you alter that top frame, you alter thby 3D-ES - Delta Machines
I don't know about other delta models, but can tell you about my Kossel: I own a Kossel mini and I like it very much, but it is a bit too mini for me, the AVR is lacking, it struggles at higher speeds and lots of small moves. I have had problems with the extruder motor, the direct drive did not work for me, I had to replace the motor with an expensive gearboxed one which works great. My next pby 3D-ES - Delta Machines
Hi shadowphile, I also had this problem with my extruder motor on a kossel mini, in my opinion a direct drive is not powerful enough for this setup. Quote from myself from this topic: Quote My problem was solved by replacing the motor with an expensive geared extruder motor, if you want a cheaper solution you can probably also use a 3D printed gearbox design! The problem in the other thread wby 3D-ES - Delta Machines
Hi Berkhout, I have tried it on my PC with Slic3r 1.1.7 and 1.2.0, and I also get those glitches, repairing it with NetFabb did not fix this problem, you probably already tried that. When I import the model in OpenSCAD and try to export it, the program crashes: error message: "sorry, this triangulation does not deal with intersecting constraints" I don't know what that is supposed to mean, perby 3D-ES - Slic3r
Strange, a 10mm cube is not a very complex object, what could possibly go wrong?... I have attached a 10mm cube and sliced it with my Kossel mini profile using Slic3r 1.1.7, you might be able to compare the output / model and see where things are going wrong? Edit: I don't have a bed probe, after homing my printer is ready to print, you can try to print the attached gcode file, your milage mayby 3D-ES - Reprappers
Good to know that this direct drive design works for you! My bowden tube is probably a bit too long and bended, or I just wasn't brave enough to pump up the voltageby 3D-ES - General
My kossel mini made the same sounds when I tried to use a non-geared extruder motor. My problem was solved by replacing the motor with an expensive geared extruder motor, if you want a cheaper solution you can probably also use a 3D printed gearbox design!by 3D-ES - General
Hi there! I had a few fights with my kossel mini before it started working, you've come a long way, it seems that you are almost printing! For building and testing I used the Blomker industries PDF guide. My advice: Forget the auto levelling for now, you don't need it (yet)! It is best to build your printer manually as perfect as you possibly can, and use the auto levelling probe to correct eby 3D-ES - Reprappers
I have had trouble with my USB when I unplugged the cable without closing the port in software first, the driver probably got confused by the missing device and needed to be restarted to work again...?by 3D-ES - Ormerod
That is a strange problem... If I understand correct, you can compile the firmware without errors with both true and false, but when you try to upload the binary it always fails with true and always succeeds with false?! As far as I know, there is no connection between that setting and the upload mechanism... The upload process is not interested in the meaning of the file, it only transfers 1'sby 3D-ES - Delta Machines
I installed Repetier 0.91 on my Minitronics, you can find my firmware install log here. I used Arduino 1.0.5 Hope it helps!by 3D-ES - Delta Machines
Hi cream, I have recently installed Repetier firmware and wrote a log here. Perhaps you can try some of 'my' settings and see if that changes anything..? Oh, your message is quite old, did you get it to run with Repetier or are you on Marlin now?by 3D-ES - RepRap Host
For Windows I downloaded one of the archives from here. The archives I got from there contain the folders you mentioned. Perhaps your archives are damaged? They should be ~ 14.7 MB Perhaps you are running some antivirus program that is in your way?by 3D-ES - Slic3r
Those strange character could be a baudrate problem. - Are you sure that you are using the correct baudrate? - Perhaps the current driver does not like this baudrate?by 3D-ES - Repetier
I use one of those 200x200mm kapton stickers, it is still looking good even after lots of printing! This is 'my way' of removing a printed part: - Let it cool first to prevent warping when pulling - Remove the glass and place it on a flat surface - Use a "waterpomptang" to get a very good grip - Use kitchen paper to prevent scratching the object! - Press glass down with cloth to keep the glassby 3D-ES - Ormerod
The object slices fine on my setup: I am using Slic3r 1.1.7 stable: I have attached the used Slic3r profile to this message, if you are also running 1.1.7 you might find the problem.by 3D-ES - Slic3r
Your homing feedrate of 200 is quite high... HOMING_FEEDRATE quote from the installation guide: Quote Next comes the homing feed rate. This should be much lower then your maximum. The printer needs to stop immediately, when the end stop is triggered. So take values, which allow a stop without deceleration.by 3D-ES - Delta Machines
Hi sodonnell! I don't quite understand what your object is supposed to look like, can you attach your Slic3r profile and that STL file for comparison? Perhaps that random start point pattern problem is caused by this setting: Print Settings->Layers and perimeters->Advanced->Seam position->Randomby 3D-ES - Slic3r
Could be, I don't quite understand what is happening! I expect it to home normal when x_min pin shows 'open', please post your config if disabling x_min does not work.by 3D-ES - Delta Machines
You can use Slic3r to scale the object in all 3 dimensions by a percentage, it tells you how large the object is going to be, and it allows export to STL. This method is limited to X+Y+Z scaling, you can't use it to stretch objects! If you know OpenSCAD you can import and scale each axis separately.by 3D-ES - 3D Design tools
This error message contains no information about your problem, it is possible that there are multiple causes that trigger this error. Lucastar fixed this error by changing the baudrate from 19200 to 76800 bps. Does this also happen when you connect using the Arduino serial monitor?by 3D-ES - Repetier
Quoteayouden GOD DAMMIT!!! I had a number wrong in the Printer Set-up. I had put 29mm rather than 92mm 29mm is an Impossible value, hence why it crashed when i tried to move it! ARGH!!! Now you point your finger to that very specific spot, I see it too! 92 is still a low value, but perhaps your printer is smaller than mine...?by 3D-ES - Delta Machines
