i thought these were done in hardware, specefically to protect against firmware glitches?by hintss - RAMPS Electronics
5x5x5 i think build area, heated bed included in plus version ($999), RAMPS, power supply (in the plus version). normal wersion is $899by hintss - General
didn't someone sell milled parts before? a lot of the parts couldn't be done on a 3-axis mill, so they sold kits of remaining parts.by hintss - For Sale
random thought: what if the lasercut files also engraved it so it looks more like a frogby hintss - For Sale
I think that the palm could send GCodes from SD card, then the reprap (fitted with a bluesmirf or similar) receives the commands from bluetooth and prints.by hintss - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
we can also use send.py from skeinforge?by hintss - Experimental
how do you get it to put the files on the SD card, and how do you tell it to print from a certain file?by hintss - RAMPS Electronics
I think its safe, since its a separate, redundant system.by hintss - RAMPS Electronics

the instructions tell you to cut a few traces and add a few parts to make the motherboard powered by the 12V (I think)by hintss - Reprappers
yes, just overworked from what I read. anyway, I think he should be more clear on the options for the full mendel kit. does it come with the power supply and endstops and motors if you don't get the electronics? also, there should be more options: getting it without thick sheet, without hardware, etc.by hintss - General
ultimachine has a video of them pen plotting a RAMPS shield using mendel, I thinkby hintss - General
I thought the sketch uploading was in the bootloader, and if the reset pin ...something..., then it would reset it to the bootloader, where you could upload a sketch. by the time it gets to the delay of 5 seconds, then wouldn't the program be in control and it be too late for uploading a new sketch? dosen't the bootloader have its own delay?by hintss - Reprappers
bowden extruder?by hintss - General
I would've picked up an opposite gender connector that connects to the cable, then modified thatby hintss - General
you can have multiple extruders. its up in thingiverse and you can print a human upside down, starting from the head, just the finished part will be upside down on the platform. and spinning the extruder around Y wouldn't work half the time; another part of the carriage or extruder would get in the way*. current high precision ideas include magnetic linear encoders and optical mice*. IMO, thby hintss - General New Machines Topics
.4 also increases print timeby hintss - General
the frostruders, IIRC, connect the same way all the makerbot extruders do: the 2 things sticking out to the sides, connecting to the Z stage. you could probably get the hole positions from the lasercut files for a makerbot. and, if you check on thingiverse, i don't have a printerby hintss - General
theres a printable frostruder: the pfiercestruder, I think its called, up on thingiverse.by hintss - General
in make magazine, there were instructions for conductive play-dough. should be toward the begining.by hintss - General
and ReplicatorG comes with skeinforge, I believe?by hintss - RepSnapper
isn't there something called ReplicatorG or something like that?by hintss - RepSnapper
just to be clear, the common lead of the SPDT in my solution connected to the extruder controller.by hintss - General
I think I heard someone mention snapping the support off with objet or something...by hintss - General
