I have six 8mm steel rods that are 300 mm also six woven carbon fiber the same size, also a 8mm threaded rod the same size. I thought it might be interesting to build your version 2 with carbon fiber and plastic bearings. I may do the Z axis different, but not sure yet. Currently the X and Y parts are being printed. I have a recently built Kossel and am printing crazy. I looked at your Cherry Piby Len - Delta Machines
I am interested in building one, I like the idea of using wheels on the beams for liner motion. Thanks for the link, I have found most of your other posts there, but I didn't see a forward link to your newest incarnation. I just printed your extruder. I like your work.by Len - Delta Machines
I moved to Rich Cattell's Marlin fork and it is awesome indeed. My most recent problems are now past history. Thanks for mentioning it Andy.by Len - Delta Machines
That would be great hercek. I am still calibrating my Kossel,The extruder is a larger Nema 17 direct drive with what was sold as MK7 Drive Gear and a Delrin lever and what looks like a 608 bearing, but if I run into problems it would be nice to have a back up solution available.by Len - Delta Machines
Mine probes beautifully, but I am using RAMPS 1.4. My problems start after that (another post).by Len - Delta Machines
As I said, I changed the z probe offset to a number of different settings and it made no difference, Same with the MANUAL_Z_HOME_POSITION. Is there another z-height? I tried going with a manual calibration and determined the correct MANUAL_Z_HOME_POSITION is 181.2, but it is still 5 mm off the glass if I try to do an auto calibration. Thanks for the reply though.by Len - Delta Machines
About half way down the configuration.h file there is: #define ACCURATE_BED_LEVELING #ifdef ACCURATE_BED_LEVELING #define ACCURATE_BED_LEVELING_POINTS 7 #define ACCURATE_BED_LEVELING_GRID_X ((RIGHT_PROBE_BED_POSITION - LEFT_PROBE_BED_POSITION) / (ACCURATE_BED_LEVELING_POINTS - 1)) #define ACCURATE_BED_LEVELING_GRID_Y ((BACK_PROBE_BED_POSITION - FRONT_PROBE_BED_POSITION) / (ACCURby Len - Delta Machines
In configuration.h look for the following: //============================= Bed Auto Leveling =========================== //#define ENABLE_AUTO_BED_LEVELING // Delete the comment to enable (remove // at the start of the line) ----- remove the "//" before the *define. That will make ACCURATE_BED_LEVELING_POINTS visible, although I'm not sure why your program is looking for it if not enabled. Iby Len - Delta Machines
This was probably posted this originally in the wrong forum. I picked a Mini Kossel as my first printer, but the openbeam that arrived was for a Legacy Kossel, so I built a Mini with the 360 mm base beams and 600mm tall. The rods are 312mm hole center to hole center and the base is 250mm diameter. It uses wheels instead of rods (quiet and smooth). My probe is offset to the right instead of the bby Len - Delta Machines
