Hi All Its been a long time since I was on these forums. My old faithful Prusa I3 clone with a Melzi board has developed a problem with the microsd socket on the display board. It just keeps saying no card. I've tried cleaning the contacts with alcohol pads but no joy still just says no card whether a card is inserted before power on or inserted after and hit init sd card still says no card. Ok I guess this is a bit out of date but I finally got my version of cherry pi ii up and running. lol Based on cherry pi ii with the following differences. P2 carriages but redesigned to incorporate a pinch bolt so any lateral play can be adjusted out. (I found the original P2 carriages became loose on the extrusion after some use.) I'm making a variation of the CPII but using conventional ball links. I'm a little confused on the delta rod lengths In the description for CPII on thingiverse Andy says he used 250mm rod length but further down it says 200mm rod length My cross brace extrusions are 250mm but what would be a good length for the delta rods? Hi all I don't have an auto bed leveling system but i do have a bent heated bed on my Prusa i3 such that the centre across the x axis is around 0.2mm higher than the four corners. Impossible to level the whole bed but only really affects the first few layers but a pita when printing something large and flat. Ive tried bending it slightly but the bonded heater element just makes it spring back aby stuuk - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Quick summary I built a Prusa i3 from a kit which i believe is chinese based but havent found the exact kit elsewhere other than the one I bought on eBay The printer is working fine after a few hickups and the seller has been very good with support and replacing some parts. The printer uses a Melzi controller running a version of Sprinter which was preloaded for my hardware. I have a copyby stuuk - General
