How about pressurizing the liquid components of the foam and using two automotive fuel injectors to spray and air mix the two components in small enough quantities to allow rapid curing via a heat gun (fire hazards to be considered and addressed) attached to the print head. Then between each layer, slice the top with a nichrome wire (an extra axis to deal with - as well as removing the scrap) soby CandleTechnologies - Let's design something! (I've got an idea ...)
In the for what it is worth department - I ordered three each of the 20 tooth and 16 tooth (for high precision prints) pulleys from Folger Tech on the same day as my Kossel Delta 2020 kit (same day but separate order) and the pulleys showed up in about two days. Alas the printer order itself still shows as unfulfilled. I do not think it is shipping, but rather picking and packing (internal handlby CandleTechnologies - Delta Machines
I will mention to the better half that I should build this on the kitchen counter. And if the hospital has WiFi I will let you know how that went. But I do have machined flat surfaces to build on and a piece of HDO to fasten the printer to. Thank you for the suggestion.by CandleTechnologies - Mechanics
Have you considered pressurizing your paint, and delivering it via a timed injector (like a fuel injector from a car)? Speed of movement combined with the number and duration of pulses should provide a smooth and accurate product (after some experimentation). Best of luck! Okay - I am a nubie here - sorry. My plan (prior to world domination anyway) is to buy a Mendel Kit to get PLAcclimated to 3D printing in the real world, then use it to print the parts for a Delta of my own design (for speed, accuracy and build volume) then use the Delta for rapid prototyping and short run production of parts in my own company and maybe someday for others.
