Dear Dust, I measured the resistance of my heater cartage and its value is around 4.9 Ω. Based on your reference, the heater cartage is for 12 V. My controller board is Arduino Mega 2560+ RAMPS 1.4 and the hotend is connected in the port D10. About the configuration of the thermistor, I had tried 1, 5 and 11, but the results are same. The heater always failed when the temperature is above aroundby cthsieh - Firmware - Marlin
Dear Dust, If the thermistor is reading incorrectly, would you kindly to talk me how to fix the problem?by cthsieh - Firmware - Marlin
Hello everyone, My machine always can't reach the temperature above 170 oC. This event happened after I replaced a J-head hotend by a E3d V6. I did renew the firmware "Marlin". The printer is working fun except that his hotend can't reach the temperature above 170 oC. I did run the "M303" PID autotune with low temperature and updated new PID values. Unfortunately, it still can't reach higher tempby cthsieh - Firmware - Marlin
Dear all, The attached pictures show my fail part printed by my DLP 3D printer. I don't know what problem to cause this failure. The bottom layers can be formed and attached on printed object holder. As for normal layers, some of them can be formed, but some of them can not be formed. Does anyone know the answer to cause this failure? Thank you!by cthsieh - Printing
Dear all, Recently, we DIY a DLP 3D printer. The attached pictures show the object printed by the machine. We found the tiny tower is not same as its computer model. Dose anyone have same experience before?by cthsieh - Developers
QuoteVDX ... you have to adjust the curing time to get best results -- could be, adding some more pigments to avoid "over-exposing" and rising the curing time per layer would help ... Does "rising the curing time" mean "expending exposure time"?by cthsieh - Developers
Thank you for your nice suggestion. I will try to expend the curing time.by cthsieh - Developers
Hello, I just built a DLP 3D printer. Its printed part is as shown on the picture. The quality of the part is not good, but I don't know how to fix it.by cthsieh - Developers
Dear Dust, Thank you for your reply. I just found that it is caused by a broken A4988. After replaced it by a new A4988, the extruder works as my expected. Thank you!by cthsieh - RAMPS Electronics
Dear O_lampe, Thank you for your nice reply. You really give me a hint to find the answer. The jumpers and the values of EEPROM are OK. I found that the problem is caused by a broken A4988. I replaced the broken A4988 by a new one. Both of extruders work fine as my expect. Thank you for helping me to solve the problem.by cthsieh - Reprappers
Sorry, I didn't attempt to bother forum readers. I just try to efficiently pass this question to the readers who have the solution. Thank you for your advice.by cthsieh - Delta Machines

The hardware has been installed well, but there are a lot of unexpected errors during configuring the marlin for the machine. The attachment is the configuration. Hello, Actually, I didn't exactly solved the problem. The above error message showed up when I selected "AUTO_BED_LEVELING_LINEAR" as the bed leveling of my system. But the code can pass the compiling when I replaced it by "AUTO_BED_LEVELING_BILINEAR". It works well. The attachment is the file.by cthsieh - Firmware - Marlin

Thank you for your kind reply. Since the extruders are same model, I disable "DISTINCT_E_FACTORS" to ignore the settings for extruder 2. Actually, I did try your suggestion, but the extruders stil run differently with same Gcode command.by cthsieh - Firmware - Marlin
Dear All, I have a problem about configuring Marlin for dual extruders. Two of my extruders are exactly same (NEMA 17 associated with 5:1 Geared box). I configured them as same parameters in Marlin (please see the attached file), Unfortunately, they did not run same when I tested them by Repetier-host. Extruder 1 is OK, but Extruder 2 seem run faster. I am curious that the extruders which were coby cthsieh - Firmware - Marlin
Thank you for your nice response. I used Repetier-host to test my machine. If I send the Gcode command to control Extruder 2 with low speed, it is OK. There is one question. I configured both of extruders with same parameters in marlin, but they didn't have same running when I tested them by Repetier-host. the attachment is the configurattion header file. Dear all, Currently I am trying to configure the Marlin for my new machine which has two extruders with one single nozzle. Both extruders can be controlled by Repieter-host, but there is one problem. Extruder 0 can run correctly in both-side rotation, but Extruder 1 can only one (+) side rotation. Does anyone have this same problem? Thank you!by cthsieh - Firmware - Marlin

Dear all, My machine is a delta robot associated with FSR auto bed leveling. I tried to update the Marlin 1.0.2 on my machine. I used and modified its example configuration files, but it seems not work. I put "#define ENABLE_AUTO_BED_LEVELING" in configuration.h, but it always get a compiling error.
