I do not see in this configuration that you are using the corexy style printer. Marlin has a spot where you set up that you are using this type of motion. Maybe i missed it. On a cell phone. If you move in the y+ does it move straight or on an angle? If angle you need to make sure you define the motion as a corexyby Taz-dig - CoreXY Machines
I was uploading a file to run from the web and when I went to my printer, the panel due screen started to go out. It appears to be a sync issue but not 100% sure. Has anyone else seen this.by Taz-dig - Duet
What are others using as a jerk value on there corexy printer. I have tried 600 and now running at 300 with better results, but longer print times. Just wondering what others are running. Tazby Taz-dig - Duet
the default IP address of a linksys is 192.168.1.1 Does your Duet have an address that is 192.168.1.x in the config file? also it uses 255.255.255.0 for default gateway. If you have more than one Duet, you may need to change the last octet of the mac address as I believe they are all the same. I think I read that on a site for the duet.by Taz-dig - Duet
Let me know when this is available. I would like to test this as it seems my ground aluminium base has a bow in it.by Taz-dig - Duet
Can you do more than 5 points on the Duet for bed probing? If so, how would you set that up in a bed.g file. Right now I have only the 5 points and want to probe more times across the bed. I want like 9-12 points for bed comp.by Taz-dig - Duet
Can i run a voltage divider in the 24v part cooling fan to be able to run a 12v fan without harming the Duet 0.8.5 board? Tazby Taz-dig - Duet
I agree there is a settings error in the S3D. I have a custom CoreXY home built with a duet 0.8.5, 24V. With this board being a G-Code board and the marlin using setting, I wonder if that is what causes the delay. I am going to upload the same job onto my Maker Gear tonight to see what the time on that printer will be with the same print speed, rapid speed and see what it says. Maybe because theby Taz-dig - Duet
Thanks for the information. I know on my Maker Gear M2, S3D is about 5-10% longer. I have never had it be that far off. Maybe this is due to a custom machine versus a branded machine. Really don't know, but I have been using S3D for about 1-2 years and again it was never that far off.by Taz-dig - Duet
It appears to me like S3D is filling in spaces in the corner of the print. Are the setting on both printers the same? Do you have the same nozzle dia? Same extrusion widths? Do you have the same number of perimeter shells. That is what I would look at first.by Taz-dig - Duet
I set up a job with my coreXY, Simplify 3D said it would take 7 hrs to print. When I loaded it into my printer DUET said it was 24 hours. Is this an error from Simplify 3d or the DUET. Does someone have a profile for S3D they can share for a coreXY machine. Thanksby Taz-dig - Duet
I like the idea of the E-Stop being at the top left. Like David said, there is no real button pushing in that area. I agree with the Control and Print screen.by Taz-dig - Duet
David, I am using a PNP probe. It seems like the probe value has to be the correct number. I was able to run a test part. It looks good, but the bed.g file did not work. I added the file from the web interface so the file should have been seen. I also verified that it was on the card in the right space when I pulled it out of the DUET. If I enter G32, I see nothing on the console. I have removedby Taz-dig - Duet
Found issue number one. I had the P value at 942. I changed it to 940 and it worked. Now I am having an issue with bed.g If I add the file and command a G32 or use the bed level button on web or panel due is does nothing. Here is my code for that. M561 G28 ; clear any existing bed transform G30 P0 X10 Y10 Z-99999 ; define 4 points in a clockwise direction around theby Taz-dig - Duet
I am having a horrible time with the DUET. I have had no issues this weekend with setting up the probe. The probe never hit the bed. Today, while I am still trying to get my first print, now when I do home all or home Z, it moves the bed, I see the probe value change from 0 to my target of 940. It slows down and then continues to move until it hits the bed and I have to shut the printer off to kiby Taz-dig - Duet
Thanks David finally got it working. Love the panel due. Did have a question on it though, does it have a e-stop on it. I did not see one. Can this be added to the home screen maybe as an option. I have a 7" screen and have space. I know if you have a 4" it may not fix. Working on setting up the axis's for the corexy. Having some small issue, but I will get there.by Taz-dig - Duet
I have finally got to a point to install my new board. I hooked everything up and after a long a battle to find out that he default IP was not set to .14, I got past that. I logged on to the web of my board and uploaded a new .BIN file. Version 14. I read that if I upload this via the web, the board would see this and tell me to reboot. After upload it did nothing. I am not able to use Bossa becaby Taz-dig - Duet
Thanks David, Are you still selling just the panel due board and cable. I have ordered the board from Think3dprint3d, but they don't have the panel due board. I I want to get the touch screen myself. BTW, I think this is by far the best screen for these printer and think the industry should be moving towards this type of screen on new printers that are coming out.by Taz-dig - Ormerod
David, Does the panel Due work withe the Duet 8.5 boards. I am about to buy this board and want to make sure this works. I am in the process of completing my build of a core XY with a ramps board, but want to upgrade it to have the panel due on it.by Taz-dig - Ormerod
There is no right or wrong way of doing this. I put mine at the bottom just to get it out of the way. The wiring was not an issue for me due to the fact that I ran my motors, fans, hot end and home switches over cat 5 cable. I put a jack near each motor and the ramps board where I wanted it and used a patch cable to connect between the 2. I have also connected my lcd and power switch the same wayby Taz-dig - CoreXY Machines
I went to spectra line instead of the belt. I have both and wanted to try the specra line. I have not put the belt on and have continued to use the specra line. I have been travelling over seas lately and have not been able to be back to the build. From my testing, the specra line will be able to do the speeds that I am hoping for with no worries about slipping. Please let me know if this answersby Taz-dig - CoreXY Machines
Could you use a second servo to drive a spring pin in and out so that they would line up in the same position each time? Sdigsby Taz-dig - CoreXY Machines
I am using the maker slide on my corexy with spectra line. I am having no issues with the xy movement. If you look up my post below this you will see some pictures. If you want a video let me know and I will upload one or two.by Taz-dig - CoreXY Machines
Thanks Larsk, I made the change with calculating the steps based in the diameter for start, it sounds a lot better and runs smooth. Now to calibrate and begin the fun.by Taz-dig - CoreXY Machines
I am about to start my corexy printer. One thing I do not km now is how to set the steps for x and y I have a 1.8 deg stepper and I am driving the printer with 1/16 steps. I don't have a belt, I have spectra line running on the printer. So how would I calculate the steps per drive on these two motors? Digsby Taz-dig - CoreXY Machines
Try and swap the motor connections to make sure the other motor and controller is good.by Taz-dig - CoreXY Machines
I had the same problem. My issue turned out to be my ramps board and adrino were not pushed together tight enough.by Taz-dig - CoreXY Machines
Here is a test run with the x and y access [1drv.ms]by Taz-dig - CoreXY Machines
I have built a delta machine and did not like the results that I got so I disassembled that machine and started to build a corexy. I really like the design and concept of a corexy machine. Here are some pictures. If all works well, I will upload the files for the machine. I am using the makerslide for the linear rails.by Taz-dig - CoreXY Machines
It did not work. That is why I machined an E3D-V6 version myself. That part is good now. I really need input on the printing of the first layer and what would cause the machine not to be square on the print?by Taz-dig - Delta Machines
