As far as I've read the topic I can say that they have indeed updated the carriages, but I don't know about the effector. But at least I can print pretty decent when it's not too big, guess I'll just have to wait for upgrades to arrive until I can start printing covers then. Thnx!by Noitome - Delta Machines
this is the listing I bought, I believe those rods are different from the ones in the start of this forum. Full metal screw on pieces, it doesn't seem to bump into one another. But I didn't check for that at the ends. It does manage to push up the z-probe on the outer screw so the positions are able to be reached. Though when I put in the coordinates of the cap screw before auto leveling it reacby Noitome - Delta Machines
does anyone know how to solve the problem I'm facing where if I print the areas furthest away from the middle are a lot less precise in printing? e.g. I was printing the lcd cover from thingyverse and it appears that the printer skips the rounds for where the screws are supposed to go in whereas the slicer shows perfectly where they are supposed to be. Hopefully there is solution which doesn't iby Noitome - Delta Machines
tI thought I solved the problem of not being to upload sketches with the ramps 1.4 attached, but it appeared it only worked when only the stepper drivers were attached. I ordered a new one but impatient as I was I configured the printer with taking the ramps off multiple times. Now at the test phase the next issue developed. The extruder works in reversed directions. When I click reverse it extruby Noitome - Delta Machines
nevermind all those messages I seem to have fixed it . I'll post details when I know for sure. man what a hassle..by Noitome - Delta Machines
Ok so it appeared to be the stepper motor that got fried. Now for the final issue since I'm really stuck here. How come I can only upload sketches to the arduino when the ramps 1.4 is not attached? From the moment it's attached it gives errors in uploading while pronterface works fine. It's a real hassle disconnecting the ramps from the arduino every time I'm trying to configure something, it alsby Noitome - Delta Machines
I wanted to upload a configuration sketch to the arduino but it gave a lot of errors. So I went through the trouble shooting guide and ended pressing the reset button with something made of metal. Then I smelled fried electronics and the lcd went out. The arduino was not being recognised anymore when connected to the ramps. Also it would get very hot like not being able to touch hot underneath thby Noitome - Delta Machines
Oh I just needed that to see if the led would go on and the soldering was done right and appears to be . Now I'm reconnecting it to the ramps. And connecting the 11A as well.by Noitome - Delta Machines
Now I'm even more confused. Two pairs of wires to the ramps 1.4 was never in my manual (I use manual version two) but it is in that Dropbox that I linked to. So your manual had four wires (two pair) connected from the power supply to the ramps? Could you maybe share your version of the manual? I don't have enough v+ and com ports for connecting two pairs and the fan. Maybe I got totally difby Noitome - Delta Machines
SIntron has sent me this: is this how you guys hooked it up? I notice the fan being connected on a second hot end position and the power supply being hooked up double. How did you guys do it? Did you do double power supply hook up and fan on the second hot end connection or single power supply hook up and the fan on the board as is shown in the manual (at the spot just behind the big yellow bloby Noitome - Delta Machines
I GOT IT MOVING!!! OHYEAH!!!! so now for the next question. I wanted to use the Z probe so I used sintronĀ“s firmware. Now I find out the heat bed is not heating op neither is the power supply making noise when turning it on in pronterface. Is this a firmware issue or wiring issue? YES IT'S MOVING!!! HAHAAAA so happy thanks for all the help guys! Finally 1.0.6 seemed to work indeed and for menby Noitome - Delta Machines
Tried all the suggestions given only I still get error messages with the most prominent one being: time out communicating with programmer. Even tried it on a different laptop while the power supply was plugged in . Even had trouble uploading the blink test, but that solved itself by plugging in the power supply I think. But I'm not sure about anything anymore except that it's not working. Whatby Noitome - Delta Machines
So I'll uninstall pronterface then. I would love to have your Marlin config as a base. Please do upload it. Do you think this will also get text back on the LCD screen? Or could that be some other problem that arose with the disconnecting and reconnecting of the Mega to the ramps 1.4a? What could be the cause of the LCD problems anyway? Is it maybe because I pressed the reset button? Was there alby Noitome - Delta Machines
I am unable to find 1.0.6 but have already tried 1.0.5. Also I tried following the troubleshooting duide and it got me taking off the mega and trying the blink script without anything attached. That worked. Though now I have reattached everything the LCD doesn't display anything anymore, it goes on but no text whatsoever. I have pressed the reset button on the mega, but is this normal? Also the uby Noitome - Delta Machines

hmm having a little bit difficulty getting the printer recognised.. I'll get back to you guys later.by Noitome - Delta Machines
Turned it on!!! comments were later than my patience could handle so I turned it on with 12 volt. light blinked green, fan was working screen went on. Then I saw that it didn't move and I realised I had to do something more so I turned it off again. Connected it through usb and again the lcd went on the fan stayed off. I was amazed since I hadn't received these comments yet. Now I'm searching forby Noitome - Delta Machines
All is connected, everything is checked, double checked and triple checked. Only the wires are not neatly put away yet... But I'm scared. Scared of turning it on for the first time. Any tips? I'm going to turn it on by using a socket with a remote switch. What is the first thing I should do after turning it on? Oh I hope it's not just a poof of smoke and that was it... I'm going to meditate on thby Noitome - Delta Machines
Even though many of you said "don't buy" I still "did buy" the mentioned sintron kit today (for 235 GBP). As long as it prints and it's a Delta (love the way they work and look) I'm happy. Also I love to tinker about stuff and actually having something worth tinkering about makes it all the better, and the fact that's it's upgradeable is just awesome! Can't wait for it to arrive! ).
