Hi suggi. I'm sorry, but i still do not understand your problem. perhaps could you show us with a video or something like that. Perhaps you could use repetier host, wich is an excellent program to control your printer... If you use easy print, i can believe it does not work, as it is full of bugssss.... Hi isralgs. Happy you print well ! As i was satisfied with repetier + cura slicer, i only uby raoulito9 - Delta Machines
QuoteSuggy but instead of going 9,8,7 etc it goes 10,19,28,37 etc There is still 2mm left to go but it I go any more it crashes into the bed. I do not understand what you mean... Do you use repetier host ?by raoulito9 - Delta Machines
Hi. i had today an interesting experience. I went to geeetech site, downloaded easyprint here : Then launched it and connected my 301. Full of hope, i noticed that a firmware upgrade was present for my 301 (i use 1.0.0.2, 1.0.0.3 is disponible) I upgraded and........ Tada !!!! My printer does not want anymore to accept negative coordinates.... I had to downgrade to V 1.0.0.2 to be able to get iby raoulito9 - Delta Machines

Thank you for respecting this. By the way, René, happy you Made it printing something. I imagine you used universal effector for g2s, found on thingiverse. Regards Sergeby raoulito9 - Delta Machines
Yes, tout Can download them on one of thé first posts on this topic. 2 files. The only thing i changed Is the temp for pla, 225.by raoulito9 - Delta Machines

Hi isralgs. Did you finally achieve a correct print ? With th adjusted vrefs, do your steppers still miss steps ? Did you verify there is no overtension on your belts ? I strongly suspect the temperature sensor of being not very accurate, because i own another printer, and for pla, 195° is enough for printing. I tried different setting, and the best were with 225°. Of course, use Cura, that isby raoulito9 - Delta Machines
Hi isralgs. I do not agree with rené. I have been able to get some good prints with that printer. Go back to the beginning of the topic and fell free to use my settings. I finally had to heat PLA up to 225°, and reduce drastically accelle factor (with printer screen) to a value of 150 iif i remember. Never tried to print abs. Head is heavy, so fast moves and strong accel will result in missed steby raoulito9 - Delta Machines
Hi Isralgs. Nice to share your experience. Your way for adjusting bed level seems good (as i use the same !) ant this is ok for me ! Thank you. What about extrusoin for you ? Stock extruders or spare metal ones ? Did you achieve some mods on your 301 ? Regards Sergeby raoulito9 - Delta Machines
Hi alexander. Feel free to use my cura files (one of the first posts). The only custom setting on printer screen (except Z hight and zoffset) is the accell factor, if you did not find it, i'll look to my priner this evenig to tell you exactly where to find. I'll be happy if you could find something for the retract pbm, as i really think that geetech does not consider they sold enough 301 to conby raoulito9 - Delta Machines
Hi. As you seem to enjoy open source kits, i would recommand a geeetech G2S, mono extruder. (Avoid dual extruder that is too tricky to calibrate.) I used to have one, its firware is marlin open source (compatible with repetier), and it is quite easy to get it working well. It is way cheaper than the ultibot one... You'll find it on gearbest, banggood, ebay or directly geeetech... Regards.by raoulito9 - Delta Machines
Hi Michael. I used metal extruders to get filament to advance, and that works well. i should have tried to remove some platic from stock ones. You are right about speed (around 30 mm/s) and acell factor that needs to be drastically lowered on printer screen (I remember a real pain, to start from something like 3000 to reach the value of 100 with rotating button). René should try extruders tricby raoulito9 - Delta Machines
Hi Ukoda. Here is my point of view. Multicolor is useless with 301, because of the lack of correct gcode, and another problem with that printer is the retract that leaves your prints "hairy". The delta printer is a little trick to calibrate, but if you follow the procedure step by step, this is ok. The 301 needs the metal extruders to run correctly, this is a complementary expense around 30$...by raoulito9 - Delta Machines
Wow. This is a clever design. Someone else (extruder0), in a previous post showed how he replaced the extruders with a similar gearmotor system. The only problem was that is was quite expensive. My prints are now corrects, i pushed the temp to 225 for PLA and kept the speed around 30 to 50 mm/sec. Did you achieve good prints faster than that ? Do you use PLA ? My actual problem (no satisfying soby raoulito9 - Delta Machines
Hi Steve. Flintewn is right, I recommand you to set steppers vref to 0,85, and extruder VRef to the max possible (around 1,15 for me...) No over heating for steppers with thoses values. they even don't get warm... Those values were correct for me, and i stopped missing steps.... Think abour replacing your plastic extruders with good metallic ones, and remove the useless extruder fans! :-)by raoulito9 - Delta Machines
Hi Mickael. My procedure for bed leveling. 1 The bed is attached to the back delta plate with 3 screws with springs. Be sure that it is perfectly level, adjusting the screws, with a caliper or some wedge. 2 Set printer height to 220 on screen printer 3 enter those scripts in repetier (printer config): script1 G0 X0 Y0 Z5 F2000 script2 G0 X60 Y-40 Z5 F2000 script3by raoulito9 - Delta Machines
Hi Veckoff. This is the clue that all 301 are not equal.... Nor theirs extruders... Thank you for your Slic3r configuration files ! What is your printing speed ? Wich mods did you need to run correctly your printer ?by raoulito9 - Delta Machines
Hi extruder. Look the attached picture, it should help you understanding the variables for a Marlin inspired firmware printer... helps me to ! About your difficulties to go above 40 mm, i must admit i've no spécific idea. I've already printed something higher than that, like some 100mm, with no problem. Which is your firmware version ? If it is lower than 1.0.0.2, then upgrade. When i asked to geby raoulito9 - Delta Machines
QuoteExtruder0 Well it's been 4 hellatious days but my printer is finally assembled and I am printing a large circle just to see how level my bed is. I am using a new nozzle as my extruders are so powerful it blew that one apart. I was chasing clogs for 2 days and even though I knew my teflon tubes were all the way in, it blew them out. I thought I was printing too close to the bed but even whenby raoulito9 - Delta Machines
Hi extruder. Thank you for your settings. Try Cura, using the config files attached. Import them both in printer (rcp) and filament (rcf) tab into Cura settings. about printing hairs, i'm sure it's about retract. The 3 extruders should retract instead of just one. As i said im my previous post, i have been luckier than you because my stock nozzle was able to extrude with stock motors (and metalliby raoulito9 - Delta Machines
Hi extruder. Another good step improving our printer ! Would you be kind enough to share with us : .Your slicer settings (slic3r or cura ?) .The link for buying your planetary motor .The printing speed you can reach with these motors (mm/s) .Your printing temperature for PLA Thank you again for your contribution. Another thing : All diamond heads are not equal. I previouly tried some differby raoulito9 - Delta Machines
Still needs to improve settings... I'm now on 8mm retract at 65 mm/s. I reduced again filament flow. This is not that bad, but not that good.... I'm sure layer fan will get this better. Results for you ?by raoulito9 - Delta Machines
Quoteisuru Hi i was trying to upload the new firmware as described in the geetech forum. it did not work and i received a message at the end stating "jump app fail" at the end. now my lcd screen does not work. lcd screen is blank restart does not make any change could somebody please help me to fix this thank you Hi again Isuru. Quoteisuru HI raoulito9 In my rostock 301 when I checked the firmware version it shows 1.1.0 A Is this a new version or do I need to upgrade Thanks Regards Isuru Hi Isuru. Honnestly, i don't Know. This firmware was given to me 15 days ago, on geeetech forum, uploaded by William Kwock, after i asked him why the official firmware 1.0.0.2 showed me a 1.0.0.1. I improved the quality of my printing : I can't edit my first post, so here is what i modified. Retract : 6 mm, and speed 10mm/s Flow : drastically decreased it, in cura slicer it is set to 75 %, and when printing, in repetier's manual contols, i am still testing, but i get the best results whit 50 or 60 % So i imagine tha I send 60 % from 75% from the standard filament "flow". QuoteAlvic good morning! I've recently bought a geeetech rostock 301 3D printer. i though the toughest part would be the assembling process but, once i had the printer fully assembled, i realized that the hardest part was the configuration process. i've searched for information on different forums and everyone does it his own way so i am completely lost in the config process. in two months i havby raoulito9 - Delta Machines
