Just done a bit more nylon 12 printing, and found that shiny Tufnol whale works well at 110deg. I had previously lightly sanded the Tufnol, but this makes it too sticky. The other point is that you need minimal part cooling.by AdrianR52 - Printing
I have used nylon 12, which I got from rigidink. Used 260 degrees first layer, then 255. Adhesion was a problem, but rigidink suggested Tufnol whale, which worked well. Cut a 250 mm round for my delta bed, and fixed to the glass bed with Swiss clips. Had the bed at 90 degrees, but could do more work on that, because some prints stuck too well - put the Tufnol in the freezer for a while to help frby AdrianR52 - Printing
Hi George Sorry no I haven't tried Cheers Adrianby AdrianR52 - Printing
Should have mentioned that Tufnol is recommended by Rigidink for their nylon filamentsby AdrianR52 - Printing
I have found Tufnol works for nylon 12. Cut a 250 mm round of 0.8mm thick Tufnol whale, and clipped it to my glass bed with Swiss clips. Don't print the first layer too close, otherwise the print will stick too well.by AdrianR52 - Printing
I am finding the smart effector works very well with Traxxas arms, if you don't want to go for magnetic arms immediately. I put my attempt at mounting posts on thingiverse (2492092). Getting very flat mesh calibration and accurately sized prints. The probe works wonderfully well.by AdrianR52 - Delta Machines
Just replaced my lumpy 3x10x4 bearings and used a 3x8x4 bearing between. Seems to work well - the 3x8x4 just fits snugly in the centre of the delrin ring. You can tighten the outer nyloc nut really firmly, and the bearings run smoothly and freely. Seems to be very little play on the carriage now. Adrianby AdrianR52 - Delta Machines
I felt that the bearings were running roughly on my kossel xl. The two bearings are 4mm apart, so I filled this gap with a 3x3x7 bearing (which I had to hand - a 4mm wide bearing would probably be better) with a 0.5mm washer on each side. You can then tighten the nylon nut quite firmly, and the bearings run smoothly. A couple still have flat spots so I will replace them. Seems to be less play onby AdrianR52 - Delta Machines
