I got rid of the idlers for flanged bearings, they work much betterm they are quiet and they don't spread the belts on each axis wider than the 40 Tooth pulley. Also I reprinted all my carriages because the red ones melted in the car. I have also since added MDF sideby stratmaster458 - Delta Machines
So a friend of mine gave me a printrboard Rev B from an original printrbot kit that was incomplete and in pieces. I am in the final stages of completing my modified rostock build, I'm at the point where I need to get my electronics in order and load them with firmware. The problem I've been having is locating a fork of Marlin for Rostock that supports the printrboard. Does anyone here know wherby stratmaster458 - Controllers

Over the past week I have been assembling my Rostock based on the parts found in my collection: I chose to go with the traxxas rod end modified parts because the printed universal joints were extremely hard to assembly and very inconsistent despite the fact that they were printed on a friend's well build Mendle90. Originally I was building a Mini but after comparing the parts of the original Roby stratmaster458 - Delta Machines
So my friend and I are both building Rostock 3D printers with the traxxas rod ends and carbon fiber tube. Most of my parts have been purchased and right now I am helping my friend find parts for his as well as find smooth steel rod for both of us. Johan recommends purchasing these smooth steel rods: My friends in my RepRap user group at my school recommend these: Mcmaster Hardened Tight-Toleraby stratmaster458 - Delta Machines
I'll have to give it a try next thanks! If I needed to replace the pots on the melzi where can I even find those? Whats the aprt number? I tried searching for it but I couldn't find anything.by stratmaster458 - General
Hey folks! About a month and a half ago I got a damaged Melzi from a friend building a mendle Prusa. From what I know he was testing the printer and making adjustments with the pots on the stepper driver ICs and he managed to blow the 5v reg and whenever it connects over USB it draws to much current (on my mac the port gets disabled). He told me that he kept powering it on and off again and pokby stratmaster458 - General

Wow! This is a great modification/re-envisioning of the original Tantillus design, will you be making a page on the RepRap wiki, posting instructions, and posting parts to thingiverse? I'd really like a high precision printer like this but the Tantillus is too small and Ultimaker is closed source.by stratmaster458 - Tantillus
I'm still having trouble deciding what is the best bowden extruder for the Rostock mini, and what clamp I should use. I need a setup that works for 1.75mm filament.by stratmaster458 - Delta Machines
Thanks for the update and the link to the other thread. Now, does anyone know the difference between the 3D printed parts on the Rostock vs the Rostock Mini?by stratmaster458 - Delta Machines
So I'm building a Rostock mini RepRap. My main reason for choosing this RepRap is that I really like delta robots, the mini variant can fit on my desk, and it will be a lot easier to get going then my shelved Ultimaker parts. My college has a hackerspace with a lot of RepRaps in it, over the last week I printed almost all the parts I need on a Lulzbot AO100. The school also has a laser cutter onby stratmaster458 - Delta Machines
Hey folks, I sort of abandoned this project soon after laser cutting the parts. It been well over a year since I ahve thought about it but I have gotten back into 3D printing through my college's makerspace. We have 7 working RepRaps and 7 more in the works. I was given the frame of a RepRap Wallace (just metal rods and plastic parts) and the plan was to modify it into a printer similar to the Mby stratmaster458 - General New Machines Topics
Hello, I have decided to source all the parts for an Ultimaker and build it from scratch without purchasing the kit. The kit is just too expensive for me and since it is an open source printer I figured that I should be able to build it myself finding all the parts without the kit. So far Ihave laser cut all the parts from birch plywood, acrylic, and delrin. I am running into the following probby stratmaster458 - General New Machines Topics
Hello, I am interning at Neuron Robotics this summer and my current task is to implement the software necessary to use the company's DyIO product as a controller for a 3D printer. I am working with the Catesian box printer, the DyIO is already set up with the stepper diver and it can control the basic X,Y,Z motions of the printer when using NRConsole to manually control the DyIO's counter outpby stratmaster458 - Developers
