Anyone have any recommendations for sourcing 8mm threaded balls and 4mm id/6mm od aluminum tubing in the states? I can't seem to find them at my typical sources - I'm also willing to buy direct if someone sells them as a kit. It's the only hardware I can't find from my normal sources.by Zzyzxx71 - Delta Machines
Apologies - my filament is 1.75mm, and a .4mm nozzle. My default extrusion width is currently set to 0. I normally print at .3mm layer height.by Zzyzxx71 - Printing
Currently using repetier - Extruder diameter is set for 1.75mm (using 1.75mm filament), extruder is calibrated (when I ask for 100mm, I get 100mm). Extrusion multiplier is set to 1. I'm using a greg wades extruder - current steps for E1 is set to 1510. For whatever reason for me to get the best prints, my flowrate needs to be around 50, nowhere near 100. Ideas on what the issue could be?by Zzyzxx71 - Printing
Does anyone have a point of contact/phone number for Panucatt? I'm running out of polite and congenial options here. I've submitted a ticket via their contact form, posted a ticket via their online support portal, mailed their support E-mail and even mailed Roy directly, with no response. From what I see on here and various other places this is rather typical. If anyone can assist I would beby Zzyzxx71 - RAMPS Electronics
Unfortunately I don't have an Uno, I've attempted to update the bootloader, and receive a completely different error. I've submitted a ticket with Panacutt, but haven't heard anything back - the ticket has been in "Being Processed" state for 2 days.by Zzyzxx71 - RAMPS Electronics
I believe I've invested due diligence into basic troubleshooting. I have another printer up and running, so I'm not completely new to this... Last week I recieved my X3 Pro, and have had issues, unfortunately documentation and even forum postings regarding this board are lacking. When attempting to upload marlin firmware (Com5, Arduino Mega 2560 or Mega ADK), I'm receiving the following error:by Zzyzxx71 - RAMPS Electronics
Currently the quality of my prints is just as good if not better than any of the brand name machines that are available. I have a prusa I3 (plate) that has been modified with a bowdens dual J-head configuration. Print speeds are upwards of 100mm/s (depending on the part of the print). The quality of print available on an i3 is completely up to the operator. This is a slower print, but shows it'by Zzyzxx71 - Reprappers
I built my printer about 10 months ago - At that time I had a friend stop by the dollar store and pick up 2 cans of whatever was cheapest. I only popped the cap off of the second can about a week ago if that gives you any idea. I've heard people on Youtube talking about this brand and that brand - I really don't think it matters. Pretty much any can full of sticky will do.by Zzyzxx71 - Reprappers
I've used nothing but hair spray for both PLA and ABS, I haven't had any issues with either. Adhesion is so good I've had incidences where the glass actually came off in slivers with the printed piece.by Zzyzxx71 - Reprappers
Can anyone who is currently running dual hot ends + a heated bed recommend an appropriate power supply? My dual head i3 is up and running, I've figured out how to initiate prints via AMF files, but about 10-15 minutes into the print the breaker on my power supply goes off - I believe I'm drawing too much power what with 2 hot ends @ 210c and a heated bed at 60c. Thanks in advance.by Zzyzxx71 - Reprappers
On my list of upgrades to my Prusa i3 I have dual extruders (which is being worked on currently), and auto bed leveling (next on the list). I'm seeing something that hopefully isn't contradictory. For dual extruders, I've changed motherboard type to 34 - which disables the fan control in lieu of power for a second hot end. The fan extender then controls dual fans via D4/D5, with 12v power cominby Zzyzxx71 - Reprappers
Greetings! Several months ago I had a PC issue, requiring a wipe and reload - I still have my original marlin folders, but am unsure which one is currently loaded. At the time of the wipe and reload (and currently) the printer is very much dialed in. I'd very much like to avoid messing up any of the existing settings. The issue is I'm currently attempting to add an additional extruder, and woulby Zzyzxx71 - RAMPS Electronics
OK - I've installed all of the jumpers, the movement of all axis is now appx 1/16 of what it was before, but within Pronterface everything appears to be operating as expected. Thanks!by Zzyzxx71 - RAMPS Electronics
Greetings! Great forum. First Dilemma: I'm using a Sainsmart RAMPS 1.4 board with Japan Servo Co 6 wire motors Wiring Diagram Here - to run a Prusa i3. I'm using color code 2, and the upper of the 2 Bipolar Drive Half Coil Connection options(Brn/Black/Red/White wires). When I run the code in the attached file (Stepper Test.txt), everything works great. I've been using that for various burn inby Zzyzxx71 - RAMPS Electronics
