I wasn't asking about Wally's build area. I was asking if an 8x8x7 inch work area would be big enough to print out Wally parts on.by AbuMaia - Polar Machines, SCARA, Robot Arms
I'll soon be getting a printer with an 8x8x7 inch work volume. Will the Wally parts fit in that space?by AbuMaia - Polar Machines, SCARA, Robot Arms
How do you wind the bulk filament? Do you do it by hand, use a power drill, or one of the winders?by AbuMaia - General
Would it not be possible to set up dual nozzles on the x-carriage with bowden tubes running to remote extruders? That should preserve the x and z travel distance, would it not?by AbuMaia - General Mendel Topics

I've been wondering, could some of these arm designs be adapted to work on Wally as well? If I remember correctly, that one requires stringing as well. How well would the PGDJ work on Wally?by AbuMaia - Delta Machines
@nicholas.seward Regarding changes to the PGDJ, I had this idea. It's probably been mentioned before and discarded. Instead of the hassle of routing the string around two sets of bolts, why not have a spring between two bolts and the string going directly to a third? The spring, if strong enough, could be used to extend the arm when the stepper eases tension, while the string/ribbon/belt attachedby AbuMaia - Delta Machines

What size printing area is required to print a Wally (or Simpson)? As it was mentioned it may not be suitable for a first printer, what size printer should I look for to be able to print out these parts?by AbuMaia - Polar Machines, SCARA, Robot Arms
How long would those wheels last before they started to slip?by AbuMaia - Delta Machines
I had found someone nearby who can print a set of parts for about $0.25 per cubic centimetre, which is why I earlier asked about the volume of the parts. I don't know what he charges in terms of weight.by AbuMaia - Polar Machines, SCARA, Robot Arms
Me as well. I can get everything except the plastic parts, so I, too, have to wait.by AbuMaia - Polar Machines, SCARA, Robot Arms
