Murata make 12mm Piezos we have used before. If you are going to noise cancel the question is where should I put the other three piezos? But adding an extra one, or slightly amplifying one will probably help. If the machine is not very mechanically noisy you might not need any noise cancelling.by DjDemonD - General

So wired up the bed, and placed connectors for the bed heater and pt1000 sensor. Only had one pair of Anderson powerpole connectors so used some tamiya rc car crimp connectors. Now the bed can be disconnected if using the machine open at the base. They are meant to be good for 10amps and its a 250w bed at 24v so might need replacing at some point. Whilst manually calibrating a delta can be rewarding and does improve your understanding of how they work, it is much easier to use the "least squares method" Input your starting values, chose repetier (I think thats a repetier config you are showing us above). Hi Stef, Just to be clear you don't want to place both Piezos as the sensor so putting two back to back into a bed mount will generate little/no noise but also no signal. As the piezo facing one way cancels the piezo facing the other way. Take one of the Piezos out of the mount and just bond it to the carriage nearby facing one way up, leave the other in the mount facing the other way. Now try iby DjDemonD - General
Keen to hear how you get on, this might widen the scope quite a bit. On my corexy underbed, I am concerned since the bed moves in Z that its not just the noise but the inertia of the bed itself as the bed moves up to contact the nozzle, which pushes down on the underbed piezos, so noise-cancelling might not work but I will test it. I can certainly try it in series, I'm going to attempt further validation of this technique on my corexy, where a setup with underbed piezos just did not work despite much effort at the time. What do you see as the benefit of doing so? Decided to go with Titan Bowden for now. As I have a titan extruder and Capricorn Tubing. Extruder bracket is bonded to a printed block and then to the cylinder. One good thing about acrylic is you can stick stuff to it. Gave it a quick test, and filament came out of the nozzle. Umbilical cable is now quite stiff, and magnets are disconnecting a bit. So a bit more progress. Flying extruder is worth it. Reducing bowden to 20cm basically returns performance to direct extruder levels. But you have to print a little slower as the inertia of the flying extruder will show as added ringing to some degree. Idler and drive pulleys should be the same diameter. Twist your belt that goes over the idler so it runs smooth side to the idler unless the idler is toothed. Using 16tby DjDemonD - Delta Machines

I like the creativity and ingenuity of this approach. But my experience over now 4 machines is that so called chiwin rails which can be had for $15 a piece outperform all rod systems whatever bearings/bushings you use. In this thread Haydn claims he can swap longer to shorter rods and print without recalibrating. I've always seen the 20-60 degrees as guidelines. As using magnetic arms and linear rails the effector stays level even at extreme arm angles. I agree you don't want to print at the edges as it is inefficient due to needing high carriage speed, but the with good motors and 32bit controllers high carby DjDemonD - Delta Machines

Me too but I will adjust the rod length in M558 if the scaling is off and I use 8 factor as I want the bed tilt compensated for also. I've tried using the scaling factor Mcode but it did not produce correctly sized parts when I tried it, and kept my rod length to the actual measured length.by DjDemonD - Delta Machines

Work out the amount parts are too small, if its 1% then multiply your diagonal rod length in config by 0.99 (0.98 if 2% etc) then autocalibrate but do not allow the calibration routine to change rod length. As for effector dropping buy a key chain retractor of good quality I use mine to support my umbilical cable in a nice loop going up from effector.by DjDemonD - Delta Machines
I've had the issue of fans stopping randomly due to magnetic arms. Also fans generating interference on smart effector strain gauge. Make a fan shroud to extend the fan out or down by 10mm or so, the magnetic force drops to the square of distance so you don't have to move it much.by DjDemonD - Delta Machines
