Okay, So I think I found the problem. I can not visually see anything wrong with my end effector, but it has to be warped. I changed out all of this printer except the effector. When I started playing around with the effector the roller coaster ride changed positions every time i rotated my effector. I will print a new one from my other printer and keep you posted on the results. It must have beeby Zulance - Delta Machines
Been a while so thought I would update you. I took the tensioners off and it did not seem to help. I have uploaded multiple firmware and still nothing helps. I mirrored the same firmware that my little printer is using because it is printing flawlessly. The only difference I have with my big printer is the size and magnetic rod ends. I am printing new rod ends to see if maybe something is off witby Zulance - Delta Machines
I assure you, I have good stiction. I create those mounts so I can use multiple sizes of pulley sizes, that was me being lazy because I swapped everything out multiple times. This picture shows the correct setting and I still get the same results. This is a formatting problem and for the life of me I can not figure it out. I have done everything I can think of to the point I am ready to pay someoby Zulance - Delta Machines
I have ran the test multiple times. There is no slippage, binding, or skipping. I have been using these same rods for about a year now, just swapped them over to this new machine. Just weird what it is doing. I will try and print a few off center to see how my results are.by Zulance - Delta Machines
I have a file with a bunch of circles, but I am unable to crop it down to a size lower than 610kb. My belts are tight, but not overly tight. I use belt springs so that all of the belts have the same tension on them, as the belt stretches the spring compensates for the stretch. I made sure everything was tight, no gear slippage etc. the only thing I can think of is a formatting error of some sortsby Zulance - Delta Machines
I am playing around with the auto leveling and it seems to be working great. I have what seems to be a perfectly flat surface, but for some reason I am still getting the hexagon shaped objects when trying to print circles. Any thoughts on what I can do to fix this?by Zulance - Delta Machines
Z Probe is working. Thank you so much for your help nebbian.by Zulance - Delta Machines

Here is my Config.h file. I swapped out my 40 teeth gears to the 20 teeth gears and seem to have the same problem. It has to be a formatting mistake someplace. Thanks!by Zulance - Delta Machines
Thanks a lot nebbian, you have been a huge help. Hopefully you can help me over the last hump and I can start to enjoy the benefits of auto leveling. I have my machine homing and working amazing, the problem I am having currently is it is not recognizing my z-probe. When I run my auto leveling it goes through the motions, but continues as though the probe is not there and continues to crash intoby Zulance - Delta Machines
That helped. I am able to upload the firmware. (#define Z_PROBE_PIN) was reading (#define Z_PROBE_PIN -1) I changed it to (#define Z_PROBE_PIN 63) and I was able to upload the firmware to get started, but not quite sure that is even the correct settings. I am also having problems with my endstops. I got so comfortable with 0.91 firmware and this 0.92.9 does not seem to like the settings I used toby Zulance - Delta Machines
I actually have a setup for the probe to use with the dial caliper. I have it set at a 15mm offset from where the nozzle would be. I am just trying to understand how to get my z-probe to work before creating something a bit more permanent. The problem I am having is when I run Bed Height Map on Repetier Host it homes itself and moves around up top beating up my end stops. Seems like it is workingby Zulance - Delta Machines
I am using belt springs that help reduce belt stretching. When the spring starts to extend to its max I tighten the belt up. This method has been working for me for years. I just hope by swapping to a smaller pulley will fix my issues. They should be in tomorrow and I will update you on how things go. I never had any issues with a 36 tooth pulley and jumping 4 teeth I would not have guessed to haby Zulance - Delta Machines
I have checked the tightness of everything before posting. Bearings and magnetic ball ends are all very tight and well lubricated with white lithium grease. I had not issues using with my 36 tooth pulleys so I thought I would give 40s a try. I am still playing around with the pulley sizes. I am using nema 17 stepper motors. I went with the bigger pulleys because of the large prints, the less motiby Zulance - Delta Machines
Here is my EEPROM. Sorry I should of checked it, did not realize it was that small. Delta Radius and Corr are all 0. the picture does not show that.by Zulance - Delta Machines
Hey guys/gals. I have been building 3d printers for a few years, and this most recent one is kicking my butt. I normally build printers with linear bearings. I recently built a printer with linear rails to completely eliminate any play in the rails. In doing so I also went from a 36 tooth pulley to 40 tooth pulleys to create zero error. I used to use 44.4444 steps per mm for the 36 tooth, but sinby Zulance - Delta Machines
Thought Id share my first print with you. Even my calibration test came out excellent. Three of the four walls were exactly .45mm as they should of been, but the last wall was .4mm. I am not going to lose sleep over a .05mm difference on one wall. I will work on fixing that when im not printing for my kids. My kids love Yu-gi-oh so I had to make them all a millennium puzzle of every color. Hereby Zulance - Delta Machines
Updated these settings, //// ENDSTOP SETTINGS: // Sets direction of endstops when homing; 1=MAX, -1=MIN #define X_HOME_DIR 1 #define Y_HOME_DIR 1 #define Z_HOME_DIR 1 The issue still persisted, but I forgot about the other end stop settings. I updated those settings and the printer is now acting as it should. Thank you for the right direction guys/gals. Ill update in the future will some printsby Zulance - Delta Machines
Ive played around with these numbers and they seem to go along with my Repetier Host settings. I can change those numbers to all be the same but still get the same verdict. Its really weird. My thought process for the x and y axis being minimum is they start dead center at zero. Ive googled these settings and there seems to be a lot of mixed reviews. All came down to what settings work for yourby Zulance - Delta Machines
Hopefully my last post before, everyone that has helped me through these last few weeks has been amazing. My "Z" Axis does not seem to want to move aside from homing. Once homed my X & Y axis only work. You will notice in the video that the x and y axis do the 5mm retract setting, but the z stands still. Below is the copy of my Config .h with Repetier 0.91 Firmware. #####################by Zulance - Delta Machines
I cant get the Z axis to move at all aside from homing the machine. I have all 3 axis's set to do a 5 mm retract when it hits the home, x and y are working great. As far as I can tell I have x, y, and z all set up identical in the firmware. After I home it, I try and move the Z axis down, but x and y are the only two that move.by Zulance - Delta Machines
I played around with the settings and finally got it moving smoothly. But this Z axis is kicking my butt. It homes smoothly now, but the Z axis does not do my 5mm retract, and once its home'ed I can not move it. I've reversed these numbers and played around with them, but nothing seems to be working. Any other area's I need to check? // maximum positions in mm - only fixed numbers! // For deltaby Zulance - Delta Machines
Sorry sometimes i type without thinking, Z axis. I will upload a video when i get home to better elaborate.by Zulance - Delta Machines
My bad i didnt word myself well. I ran a M119 and i get L for my x,y,z when not triggered and a H when triggered. End stops function as desinged. My Z access moves, but it grinds and viberates bad. I have had a similar issue and fixed it by changing my endstop settings. This time i cant seem to figure it out. I have played with my end stop settings but cant get rid of this viberation. I posted asby Zulance - Delta Machines
Another issue . I have my machine mostly calibrated, but im thinking my end stop is causing my Z access to sound like a jack hammer. I am clueless when it comes to the end stops, they are simple mechanical endstops. I have mixed and matched every setting I can think of but its not looking good for me. Could use some input on this oneby Zulance - Delta Machines
WOW after a crap load of experimenting I finally got a solid upload!!! So I ended up getting 1.6.2 and doing a debug while uploading the newest firmware. When I saw it took I went to my firmware and it took too. Thank you everyone for the time you put into me. I seriously appreciate it. I have learned a lot!!!!by Zulance - Delta Machines
Hey Tad, Can you elaborate on that? I am not familiar with WhinDuhs. I am still new to a lot of this tbh. Also with a brand new board out of the box is there any preparation I need to do to it? Or do I just plug it in, install drivers, and upload firmware.by Zulance - Delta Machines
If my USB port was dead, would the LED's still flash simulating the uploading of firmware? I purchased 2 more boards from Amazon and I am having the same issue with those on a freshly formatted computer. My computer is simulating the upload to them, but nothing is going onto them. Im to the point of banging my head against the desk. Not sure if I am just having bad luck or I am doing something wrby Zulance - Delta Machines
