So I have been doing some more digging. Should I be messing with the boot loader? I don't have that option on the newer Arduino, but the older versions have it available.by Zulance - Delta Machines
Hi Advavidm, My board is not hard bricked as far as I can tell, I can still run the sketches and it operates just fine from the examples. I just have to figure out what is blocking my board from allowing me to upload. I might have to revert back to the oldest Arduino and start there from the sounds of that site you linked. Only problem that still confuses me is I was able to upload just fine untby Zulance - Delta Machines
After reformating my computer to dump any possibility of corrupted files I am now stumped. I have no idea what I did different to upload my firmware to the Arduino Mega 2560 the first time. My computer being newly formatted does not try and auto load drivers. I loaded different versions of my Arduino 1.0.5 because thats what worked for me on my first firmware upload. I opened my new boards in casby Zulance - Delta Machines
Yeah i configured the .h on both Marlin and Repetier Firmware. I like the older versions of Marlin and Repetier because I can understand them. The newer versions have information that I am unfamiliar with along with the printer basics. Repetier 0.83 is my favorite of the firmwares. When you start getting higher up it looks like the auto leveling starts to take place. I dont mind manually configurby Zulance - Delta Machines
I normally use Repetier Host but downloaded Pronterface because i have read its not as picky. I dont have a LCD, but under the printer information it would normally say what firmware im using. Ive tested this out with marlin and arduino firmware. Recently that stays blank regardless of what i try and upload. I can move the printer around with the arrows on the pronterface, but not on repetier hosby Zulance - Delta Machines
Olaf, Your really knowledgeable and very helpful. Im not familiar with your bricked term though. Because of my inexperience with the jumpers earlier on in my build i thought my issue fell on the software/drivers. I kept trying different USB drivers along with different firmware until my board no longer accepted my firmware. I have done a good bit of reading on this and some people fixed this issby Zulance - Delta Machines
Not sure if im going in the right direction with this but decided to give Atmel a try. I get to the Flip software and the USB keeps telling me it can not connect. The program recognizes the USB is connected but refuses to connect. Not sure if im going in the right direction, and im trying to salvage my board. My next step is just buying a new board. Before I go the route of buying a new board, wby Zulance - Delta Machines
I've been testing out a bunch of different firmware because I thought my printer was acting up. Recently it stopped accepting my firmware. I have looked around online but having trouble finding anything about this. I found a lot of people with this problem, but no solutions. The board blinks as though the firmware is loading, but when I check it I get the blank screen that I attached.by Zulance - Delta Machines
Wow. that could of been my problem the entire time. I loaded my firmware at least 50 times or better trying different ideas. I was able to move my machine around, but not smooth. I don't see any burnt chips or smell on any of my drivers or boards, but not my board will not accept my firmware anymore. Is that a sign that I ruined my board? How would you tell if your drivers are burnt as well?by Zulance - Delta Machines
Hey Olaf, I did test out all of the hardware before assembling the unit, the motors functioned. Once I fully assembled the unit I started running into this problem. I have spent months watching YouTube videos and assumed I knew what was needed for the build. Unfortunately between the software and firmware, its kicking my butt. I think I configured the drivers correctly, but not sure how to testby Zulance - Delta Machines
I built a delta printer and seem to be having some issues getting the machine to move. I use Repetier 0.83 Firmware because its easy to use and I can understand most of it. When trying to use 0.91 and 0.92 it becomes very confusing. I did get my machine move using the 0.92 but it was really choppy and the machine was trying to drive its way through my end stops. I attached a copy of my Config .Hby Zulance - Delta Machines
Thank you everyone for your help. I ended up going with an ATX Power supply and it seems to be working well. I have the machine working good except the X axis. The motor is electrically locked, but does not want to move. I have swapped around the stepper chips on the board to make sure I didn't get a bad one and same with the motors. For some reason X is giving me problems. Any ideas on this issuby Zulance - Delta Machines
Thank you for pointing that out. I thought that by connecting the boards they would power each other. A simple jumper wire fixed my problem. Now to calibrate my machineby Zulance - Delta Machines
I took a picture of my board with the connections. I also took a small video of me telling my motors to move. The lights blink, but nothing happens. I have tried 3 different power supplies. I have swapped around all my components to make sure they are work. I just don't know what else to do at this point in time. I'm using 24 gage wiring, its just insulated thick so don't mind the thickness of thby Zulance - Delta Machines
Hi lampe, Im still learning as I go, but I believe I installed the firmware on the board correctly. When I go to printer information the board reads Repetier_0.83 Firmware. It also gives me a link for my firmware URL (https://github.com/repetier/Repetier-Firmware/). I have Firmware EEPROM Settings to play around with and adjust. The issue is getting my Repetier-Host to move the printer. When I gby Zulance - Delta Machines
Hey guys/gals, I need some advice/help! I built a mini delta print about a year ago. Its a lot of fun, but small so I decided to build a bigger one. I built a bigger one exactly how I did the smaller one, but something's not right. My small one still works, but the big one doesn't move at all. I'm using the identical firmware because it works well for me, Repeater Firmware 0.83. The firmware uplby Zulance - Delta Machines
