After a longer time thinking I've decided the best approach for me is to buy a CR-10 3D printer and then 3D print parts for making a platform with a direct drive for flexible filament. I want 2 printers anyway. What 3D printer design is the best? best extruder for flex? I've parts for half a 3D printer in 2020 extrusion, 8mm rods, gt2 timing belts, pulleys, 8mm rods, nema17 motors power supplyby dynamitetalks - General
#VDX I've used one similar also a handheld injection handgun. Injection at 6 bar airpressure. This was the result with an ABS Brick: Have in mind all the scratches are from storage in my drawer so some things has scratched it. It was clean like the mold at first You'll make some fine smaller parts with that injection gun, enjoy.by dynamitetalks - General
Thanks for your answers. I am making some rollers and will injection melted TPU filament into the mold and create flexible rollers. I tried Casting one with Resin just too see if the fit was good. Turned out to be perfect. See the picture here I have found out that a CNC mill will be available later and I'll use this for making the mold in aluminum.by dynamitetalks - General
Thanks for your answers. I got a quick question is there any high temperature flexible filament used in 3D printing now?by dynamitetalks - General
Can you buy an extruder for high temperature plastic or is there any plans for one? Have anyone here any experience and success with it? I would like to 3D print molds that I can inject plastic into. PLA molds will just melt. If necessary I'm sure the Development lab I'm using will fund it, since they just invested in a small quality used injectionmolding machine. Maybe some extruders for cby dynamitetalks - General
Thanks To everyone who have helped with advices and responded. I've been busy with everyday life and will find time in the weekend. I did a quick frame assembly in CAD and can now see that 4040 and 4080 will be the frame parts, Unless I find a good price on squaretubes and decides to go with that. I'll either use 1 threaded acme 16mm rod in each end of the bedframe with two 16mm rods or useby dynamitetalks - General
Hello I am trying to find block nuts I can mount on the bed-frame for my build. I've trouble finding something that will have the threaded acme hole vertical and have mounted holes in an horizontal way, just like these nuts, but I need them in 16mm: My other option was to buy a threadcutter tool.. but the price is around £50 so buying 4 nut blocks probably be the same anyway. Hello Everyone. I've decided to build a larger 3D printer for printing robotic prototypes and concept models. looking at something with a build size of 85 L x 85 W x 60/70 H Or a build of around 1m X 1m X 1m I've done some research the last few days and compiled it in this document with a lot of questions. I hope experienced people will help answering all my doubts. I also hope this process caby dynamitetalks - General
Hey everybody Im looking to build an paste extruder for other material than PLA as I'm used to. I was looking for an Auger extruder screw, but I can't find one for the application. Where is a good place to source for a good auger extruder screw for a paste extruder? Also what is the best paste extruder design you've seen, if you could link for inspiration. Thank youby dynamitetalks - Paste Extrusion Working Group
Great build, looking forward for your next project, keep it coming.by dynamitetalks - General
So usually I use a makerbot since I've access to one at my university, but I've a printrbot at home which haven't been in use for over a year.. I now have an idea I want to build with a dual extrusion setup, so I've decided to turn my printrbot jr into a dual bowden extruder, at the moment it is a single bowden extruder. Have anyone experience with this and can give some tips? Parts? Links I cby dynamitetalks - General
Thanks for your answer I figured it out. my slic3r software was just to outdated for such solutions. thanks!by dynamitetalks - General
Hey I want to print the falcon Maltese, but its too big, so I want to change the size to 50 procent. How or where do I do it in slic3r, pronterface or repetier host. Best regardsby dynamitetalks - General
I did everything from the beginning and know it prints on the bed, still not in the center but nearly! but it looks great Thanks a ton for your help!! have a great weekend!by dynamitetalks - General
Alright thats fair Thanks, I'll try to work on that.by dynamitetalks - General
thanks tripple times ShadowRam I hope it wasn't me who did it, because if so I dont know what I have done.. but what can I do to make the slicer file be in the leftcorner instead of 7 squares away from the left corner? Best regardsby dynamitetalks - General
Thanks ShadowRam. my settings is attached as a picture.. Best regards.by dynamitetalks - General
Thank you akhlut as you can see is my bedsize sat up to 140 mm * 100 mm * 100 mm and center size 70 mm * 50 mm I cant really not figure out why it prints out to the edge of the bed and by then only print a half sized platform.. see the attached picture off my printer. Best regardsby dynamitetalks - General
Or could the problem be the graph picture? If somebody could take a look, I would be so thankfully!! Best regardsby dynamitetalks - General

It seems that I have a problem. when im printing the platform, the extruder starts in the center of the bed and then prints to the back of the Y axel, which make the platform only printing half. did you make the file in the center when you drawed it or outside the center? or can I change where the extruder will print the object so it will print a full scale platform in the center of the bed?by dynamitetalks - General
Thank you so much it looks like what i was thinking about, I'll try and see if I can figure out how to print it. again thanks so much!! (:by dynamitetalks - General
Hey I have a hard time figuring out how to make things in sketch up, but I just need to print an easy thing, so I would like to hear if somebody can help me, it takes like 2 min if you are good. I just need it as a stl and g-code file. I hope some you dont mind I have attrached a picture of it. its a platform to my robot. Best Regards.by dynamitetalks - General
