Tried it too, but it has become detached after a while. Maybe i´ll give it another try with more brim and better air-nozzles.by Kolbi - General
Thats strange, in my beginnings i found ABS much more uncomplicated except bad sticking on the heatplate sometimes. It just ran through the hotend like water, but overhangs always bend up, therefor i suggested a lower z-position for overhangs, depth dynamically depending on degrees overhang, but slic3r didnt react on my email.by Kolbi - General
QuoteJamesK Glad to see that you are trying it - the combination of fast delta motion with larger nozzle sizes should be very impressive, as long as your hotend can keep up. Thanks, you are right, i am now fighting with extrusion volume and extruder grip and had to tighten the springs a lot. For now i put a small counter bearing to the extruder motor shaft to protect it from bending too much, buby Kolbi - General
Great Job nebbian, and your values seem to make sense too,so i will believe you this time. I try since hours to print with 0.7mm nozzle and 0.5 layer height without infill. Could do a part in under 20min with 3 perimeters. Looked good, but did not lock with my other parts i printed @ 0.2mm layer, just layed on each other. Could glue that thing for a photo, but will make a video soon that shows hby Kolbi - General
Please do not understand me wrong, i just try to keep it simple and true, i will not make any judgement about anybody if he/she is a bad person. All i do is try to understand what my eye is seeing. Cheating is a very efficient way to reach a goal, therefor i already said this is a serious thread, this means claims without proof are OFF TOPIC and NOT SERIOUS! After watching frame by frame with VLC, i am just more thinking its a fake, because of two reasons: 1.) You stream the video to a PC live, but at 28:15, there is no delay in stream, on the contrary: Your video can see the future! Here is a screenshot, in the main video, the monitor cant be seen fully, but on the monitor screen you can see the whole monitor: This can mean: Its a fake, you recby Kolbi - General
QuoteTyugo So this is the link for youtube : Hi Tyugo, thanks for joining the contest! The more, the more fun Looks very nice and fast, but, apologies for my criticism, its not perfectly proof. Its very easy to record cound with mic, then lay it over 2x fast video. Therefor your MOUTH MOVEMENTS have to be seen, this is much harder to fake. Also dont be shy like me, compared to my face eveby Kolbi - General
QuoteMechaBits Kolbi Does the thing that was printed badly have a use? Seems you havent take a look at the video yet. It clicks well, and is very stable. QuoteMechaBits if not shame on you, design(print) less junk. Translates not very friendly... why do you call a functional piece with nice high-speed overhangs junk? Make it better and faster, but even then it is not very friendly to call otheby Kolbi - General
Ok, then how would your conditions look like?by Kolbi - General
QuoteDjDemonD it's run its course for me Sorry my bad english again, does this mean you will not try anymore? Would be pitty, with small modifications you could print far below 40min.by Kolbi - General
QuoteDjDemonD As for regulations I'm not sure this is an official contest of any sort, you want one set of conditions, those which sort of suit your setup, other people want it stricter and some looser (my preference). I totally agree, this is why i started the thread, we need simple regulations to make a few categories for contests that are seriously. For now, this is the Nema17 Filament Conteby Kolbi - General
Quotedigital dentist Fastest is fastest. Why should the be any restriction on motor size, print size, printer architecture, printed material, etc., if there isn't any restriction on final quality? There have to be regulations, otherwise teams will form up, buy strongest drives available for big money, and no normal person can join competition anymore. Also energy efficiency on such systems is veby Kolbi - General
And i have photos of an ufo and the log files from the flight record that I can add.... Dont take it personal please, just fun. But if you want to be serious, you need a video proove. Film a few layers and a person takling, click test, and it should be enough to calculate if its possible.by Kolbi - General
QuoteChri this comparison is useless with real rules, all written in this thread yet is so soft and not regulated, it can be cheated very easily. for a real comparison you need more specific rules ! I agree, but the many rules you posted makes no sense, you only need a simple classification, otherwise you´ll have 10000 cathegories in short time.
Mostly, i turn down to 80-70% for much better surface and edges. Cooling makes the most part of overhangs quality, speed is nearly no matter. In the video you can see a lot of bended up edges in one part, this is because i forgot to heighten the air cooling nozzles. In the next cut you can see the nozzles higher, and no more bending.by Kolbi - General
I dont understand completely (my english), do you think i printed with 200mm/s in the video? It was maximum 130mm/s for solid and infill.by Kolbi - General
LGby Kolbi - Austria RUG
Everybody thinks mm/s is important, but it is not. All that counts, is ACCELERATION and LOW MASS. And this is why i can print so fast with my lame 130mm/s infill. The stiff and lightweight frame i designd makes this possible, the other parts are just cheap ramps standard, more isnt necessary. I already printed at nearly 300mm/s @ 0.1mm layer, but at this speeds, the mass of the effector / hotenby Kolbi - General
The functionality is the judge, thats the nice and simple thing on this part. It wont snap flat, then the quality is too low. If you want to see it with better surface, then i just print a bit slower and its still faster then anything else i guess. Print it with similar quality in under 38min, proove it, and the title is yours.by Kolbi - General
Wow, you guessed good, it was 38min! Here´s the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7_bUrkuHyk This time, the part has acceptable quality, and if nobody can beat my time, i claim the title "Fastest Printer in the World" in the Nema17/Filament class.by Kolbi - General
I alredy told the quality is because of the insufficient cooling, you should already know and see that in the video. The new point-cooling i made today seems to work much better. Just a small 5V 370mA radial blower with 2 pipes and printed cap is all i need. Trying to break my record this moment, i switched to 2 perimeters instead of 3, changed infill to line instead rectilinear, plus 10mm/sby Kolbi - General
Thats off topic. I can also print very beautiful surfaces, and that very fast.by Kolbi - General
