Hi Snoman Can we buy this yet? I am building a machine but it's a few weeks away from being ready but would like a roll of black ABS. Do you have a price including shipping yet? Just north of Sydney Regards Denisby Blacksnake - Australia, Melbourne RUG
Interesting posts - I use these Toshiba chips in my home made CNC machine (eBay boards) with no issues. I have a suggestion for the FET driving issue - why not drive an opto-coupler from the ATMEGA and source the opto transistor from 12V so you have plenty of FET Gate voltage and signal isolation as well? I just ordered a Stepstick board as I was going to build a 1.4 board once you have finalisedby Blacksnake - Next Wave Electronics Working Group
Hi vTruamflug I am new to this forum but very keen to build a Reprap unit. I come from an electronics /instrumentation background so please don't take anything below as any negative. I like your board but there is a much simpler way to make cheap high resolution boards. I have tried many methods over the years from tapes and UV sensitve boards to Dalo pens and transfer films with fair sucess. Howby Blacksnake - Next Wave Electronics Working Group
Hi Cefiar I had a look at the Printrboard - nice job - pity there is not much detail on how to run it from the MicroSD card. I have the AVRISP MkII, Arduino software and AVR Studio 5.1 so I could replicate the board and firmware. I generally build the firmware in the Arduino software and then creaste a HEX file which I can then upload into the board using the AVR Studio and AVR ISP using the ISPby Blacksnake - Australia, Sydney RUG
Hi I am interested in building one of these with the SD card so it can run the G Code without using a PC. Is that possible with the current Gen7 software/hardware? If not - is it in the pipeline? I would like to do my own board in surface mount as I can get boards made in China for around $1.50 each (100 off) double sided plated through hole with silk screen. I would be happy to offer these at coby Blacksnake - Next Wave Electronics Working Group
Hi Guys I have just discovered this site and am keen to build a 3D printer. I have a few questions some of you may be able to answer. The electronics suggests using an SD card and Arduino to run the machine (the G Code is loaded into the SD card). However, having looked at the Gen 7 circuit it seems to use a serial input which means driving it with a PC - is this true? I intend to make my own eleby Blacksnake - Australia, Sydney RUG
Hi I just discovered this site and have been trying to download the Teacup firmware for an ATMEGA328. I see a lot of files that can be downloaded but don't know which one's I need to get this working with the Arduino / ATMEGA328? I intend to design my own board using SMD parts. Can you advise which files I must have? I am Windows based so am having a few issues with the Linux based software. Hopeby Blacksnake - Firmware - mainstream and related support
