ATX (and some other) power supplies have GND connected to Protective terminal of wall socket, if this is the case for both computer and printer power supplies, it may cause ground loop and differential current to flow through USB cable. This may both clutter communication and trigger over current protection of USB port. Thus connecting printer and computer to the same wall socket may help to reduby miso - General

@aduy: Are you so sure? I think it would be matter of perspective provided in media. Most likely they will say something like, "... so now criminals can have nice combo of weapon and body armor". Besides in some countries its illegal (or regulated) to posses body armor. You know, since only police can have guns, and since police is good, if they decide to shoot at someone, he deserves to die . Soby miso - General

I think something like FAQ, with limited number of questions, thus simpler to navigate, and higher information density of answers than in average forum, would be more useful. I don't say that there can't be both.by miso - General

I doubt, though can be wrong, that you will find much NEMA motors in today's office equipment. Those devices have been heavily cost optimized, and most likely will use dc motors with optical position sensing.by miso - General
I think that as with any authentication system, key holds secret used to authenticate you. Its that secret that is used to authenticate you, not the skill to copy it, thus you shouldn't give away that secret in first place, that's true even for mechanical systems, they usually even have numerical representation.by miso - General
Quotemondo50m But when would one use a RAFT? If you have slightly unleveled or defects on print bed. Raft will fill them and provide smooth leveled print area. If you have adhesion issues. Long straight segments of raft tend to adhere better than, say perimeters of 3 mm holes that will just form blob on your nozzle. EDIT: It also helps with parts that have small printbed contact area (small holby miso - General

Single element difference doesn't make sense, because there is nothing to subtract from first element. The same is true for union, you can't unite something with nothing. They result in no op. In your case you wanted to subtract translate([30,30,28]) cube (size = [20,20,29]); from union() { //Add Thin walls to top translate([25,25,28]) cube (size = [25,25,29]); } correct syntax is thisby miso - General

One thing that I miss in topics like this is: What properties do you want to achieve in printed object? Metals greatly vary in physical properties (melting point, heat and electrical conductivity, mechanical strength, etc). So which property do yo want to get / what metal do you want to print?
