it is made by moons a chinese manufacturer and has no part number ... it is only available on taobao.. If you need my help to get it i can buy it for you and mail it to you... taobao linkby ekaggrat - General
thanks.. will try next week sometime ...by ekaggrat - Developers
this motor would be perfect for your extruder... weighs only 70 gms.. has a pull in torque of 3.5-4 kgcm with a ratio of 1:45 which is good enough for 1.75mm filament.. only downside is the shaft is 4mmby ekaggrat - General
you can model supports in any modeling software.. make thin walls of .4mm thickness ( if u are using a 0.4 nozzle ) and leave a gap of 0.2 mm between the bottom of the model and the support,, This way the supports comes off but not as clean as the one slicer generates... but sometimes slic3r ignores the thin walls .. ( when then are curved ) in that case try 05 amd 0.6mm thickness best of luckby ekaggrat - General
cool wanted something like this 2 years back when i had a constantly failing prusa i2 and pronterface... since then i have moved on to more stable printer s and repetier ... but sure will try it... will it work on the windows version of pronterface ? I do have ubuntu but dont use that so much.. thanksby ekaggrat - Developers
@lobocnc thanks.... definitely next on my list !!!by ekaggrat - General
super cool... What firmware are you using?by ekaggrat - General
it is a chinese knockoff designed for a ptfe... but this one seems to be with a 4mm ptfe sleeve which is worse .. the ones with 3mm ptfe work fineby ekaggrat - Delta Machines
for pla a ptfe sleeve works best.. I have tried polishing the inside of a stainless tube but it is hard to do and still causes jams with pla.by ekaggrat - Reprappers
You must have enabled your eeprom and your printer is getting the z value from the eeprom. Send a m502 command to the printer after loading your firmware followed br m500by ekaggrat - Delta Machines
your carriages seem to be the problem . The belt is touching the belt clamps.. You need to run your belt straight and square or you are going to get all sorts of errors.. see the attached imageby ekaggrat - Delta Machines
the recent versions of slic3r 1.1.7 is much better than cura .. I have been using it on my 3dr and the parts are dimensionally more accurateby ekaggrat - Delta Machines
@bower-andy the wavyness in your prints is due to a bad wades bolt. I have a 3dr modified with spring ball joints and a e3d v6 hot end.. The prints i get are much better than my mendelmax 1.5. I changed the extruder to use a mk8 hob which has a very good grip. I have never had luck with the stock wades bolt ( dont have a good source for them )..by ekaggrat - Delta Machines
have the same problem on my 3dr .. @david j the idea is great but it would be better to mount the balls ( threaded holes ) vertically on the arm platform and micro platform and glue the bearing/bushing to the rod. If you print the socket at 45 degrees you will not get it accurate enough and cause the same problem with the printed socket..by ekaggrat - Delta Machines
@dc42 yes i know the G4 way .. i was looking for a better way.. thanks...by ekaggrat - Developers
hi i am looking for sending a bunch of gcode files to the printer and have them processed one by one with a time delay of 5-10 minutes between each file. Is there a way to do it in repetier or octoprint or pronterface.. i am not using the gcode to print but to just move the printer in a sequence ... wait ... and then move again... thanksby ekaggrat - Developers
if you connect your pins directly you will blow your arduino. !!!!by ekaggrat - Firmware - mainstream and related support
@chris33 you should not be printing with a layer height more than 80% of the nozzle diameter.. max layer height with .4 nozzle is 0.25.....by ekaggrat - Reprappers
the problem is the extrusion width... Slicr does it automatically so the parts are accurate.. For cura you need to play around with to get it right..by ekaggrat - Reprappers
@frankvdh thanks for looking into the code. Since this post i have improved the code a lot and now get a accuracy of +- 2 minutes per day. The main source of error was the motor ( it had a weird gear ratio ) . I got a new motor of the same size from a different manufacture. Yes i know delay is also a source of error .( ia ma noob in terms of code ) yes i posted it on arduino forum and got peoplby ekaggrat - Let's design something! (I've got an idea ...)
i have a similar issue on my 3dr which uses the same spring joints as the cherry pi. I measured the rods and made them accurate to within 0.02 mm but still the carriage tilts in the yz plane by about 0.5mm .. i made the carriages twice ,, the rods 2 times... changed springs from softer to harder ones. lubricated joints .. but nothing works... the printer can print out good parts anyways ... so iby ekaggrat - Delta Machines
@dc42 interesting machine what is your printable height?by ekaggrat - Mechanics
hi, I recently tried a version of cura 15 because a particular part refused to slice properly in scli3r. When i printed the part the walls of the part ended up 0.2 mm thicker than what they should be. Then i got curious and printed another part on the same printed one sliced with cura and one with slic3r. This part in slic3r came perfect in dimensions ( wall thickness 2mm came 1.98mm) but in curaby ekaggrat - Printing
soon you will see a chinese v6 lite clones at 5-10 dollars and the same quality....by ekaggrat - Delta Machines
The uarm uses hobby servos which have pathetic accuracy . Don't waste ur time trying to make a printer out of this.by ekaggrat - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
the board uses a crystal at 8mhz so i dont think that is causing a error. I think something is off in the code. gitbub board files thanksby ekaggrat - Let's design something! (I've got an idea ...)
any sample scans done? can you please put pictures of actual object and resulting scan . thanksby ekaggrat - 3D Scanners, Book Scanners, and Optics
hi, I have designed and 3d printed a clock thingiverse i am controlling the clock using a arduino sketch running on a attiny2313. the stepper motor i am using is a 12v 1:12 ratio stepper. the total number of steps per revolution are 288. the problem i am facing is that i am unable to get the time right. i have got the steps per revolution of the minute ring bang on . but some how the motor gainby ekaggrat - Let's design something! found it ... faulty sd card reader.,,,, the prints from repetier host come out perfect . tried 2 4 hour long prints and they came out perfect . the same prints on the sd card failed 3 times before i gave upby ekaggrat - Delta Machines
