zboz, that is exciting! I can't wait to see some results!by Marcus - Casting and Moldmaking Working Group
Thank you kenearlg! Sorry for not getting back sooner. I emailed it over to our 3d print shop and spoke with them. The guy couldn't determine the dimensions of the file. Could you respond with those dimensions, or explain how to determine that using Blender? The guy told me he thinks the object is too big for their currently working 3d printer. Their repraps are under repair at the time. Theby Marcus - 3D Design tools
Hello, My partner and I want to build a modified version of a hydroponic windowfarm. For our system we would like to build shelves and have planters sit on the shelves. Yet, not directly on the shelves themselves, but on a funnel that will drain water down to the planter below and ultimately back to the water tank. For this purpose, we need a customized funnel made and see this as an excellentby Marcus - 3D Design tools
Will the MetalicaRap be able to print bolts, nuts, screwdrivers, and other common metal objects you buy at the hardware store? If so, this is very exciting. Do you have an estimated date of when MetalicaRap will become functional? Estimated build cost?by Marcus - MetalicaRap
Is it safe to assume this could be done on a plastic substrate? Plastic microchipby Marcus - Controllers
ElectricMucus, that is an exciting possibility. I've found an article that discusses ice lithography. One concern I have is that the silicon substrate is cooled down to 110K (-163 C). How much energy would that require? Nanotechnology on iceby Marcus - Controllers
I just came across this and could not find a reference to it on the forum. It looks very promising. What is TRobot?by Marcus - Robots!
Can anyone comment on the technical feasibility of decentralized microchip fabrication plants?by Marcus - Controllers
It's been a little over a year since the last post. Does have more information on this home made plastic? I've searched the internet, but cannot find a mechanical processor.by Marcus - Polymer Working Group
I was very excited to discover the RepRap last week. Since then I've been trying to investigate (online) the potential of self-replicating digital fabrication machinery. My question pertains to a scale of fabrication a bit larger than that of personal fabrication - the neighborhood or the small town. I curious if anyone could comment on the technical feasibility (ignoring public support, marketby Marcus - General
