Those aluminum couplers are not the best idea... the z lead screw is what holds the X axis up, and those aluminum coupler are springy enought to influence the z height and you will get random banding because of the linear rails binding just ever so slightly, I'm looking at an alternative, but will more than liking go with a "solid" solution as there needs to be ZERO angular change at the motor coby BAMCNC - General Mendel Topics
I'm interested in your method for the cnc 4th axis as I have a Taig w/ 4th axis.by BAMCNC - General

How accurate of a scale do you have? Cut peices to the exact length using a caliper, say... 3 inches of each, then weight them, what do you get? A "Grain" scale would be best (Reloading scale)by BAMCNC - General
Can we get some pictures please?by BAMCNC - General
Building yout own hotend is easy, I did it (of course I have a mill and a lathe...) but do you have some A tap and Die set? maybe a hack saw and some sand paper? Wiring? really... for a thermistor and a resistor? seems pretty straight forward I'd think, and wire length... really?.... You can get .5mm (or whatever) drill bits fairly easy and cheap, of course it's not as good as using a reamerby BAMCNC - General
What is your Power Supply voltage at, and do you have an auxiliary capacitor on it?by BAMCNC - General Mendel Topics
Very nice hallow Box, that is one thing I haven't mastered, I just can't seem to get the top done... maybe it's slic3r?by BAMCNC - General Mendel Topics
With the motors unmounted, but both still hooked up (wired) and sitting on the bench, when you move the Z what happens? All of my driver pot's are all pointed the exact same way for all axis's, and I'm running 13.5v power supply. Are all of your Lead screws and linear rails (drill rod) straight, smooth, and square?by BAMCNC - General Mendel Topics
At 20mm above the bed it will do that, if it does it while printing then you have an issue. As for the pins (connections) Simply bend each pin the opposite way (1 back 1 forth) This will ensure a good connection and help to hold the plug on the board, I also twist all my wires, this helps put a sort of torque on the plug to keep it tight, and depending on the wiring it's acts as shileding (goodby BAMCNC - General Mendel Topics
