hmmm well then i guess the only other way is to attach a weighted device to the stepper and make it move then ...by redreprap - Controllers
TB6560/6064 ... "toshiba licensed" made in china drivers .... anyone tried these yet? 100-200kHz PWM internal looks tempting ...by redreprap - Controllers
this is certainly interesting for me .... i like to know more ... (hungry chinchilla looking for pellets of data) so if say my sanyo denkis ... 9VDC, 0.85A, 59oz/in ... theoretically energized @ 2coils x0.7 factor of the rated power in a A4988, it should get the 59oz/in holding power? is that the way to put it?by redreprap - Controllers
out of curiosity .... i would be v interested to try 1/32 ... :p i even ordered samples (wad the hell m i thinking :p )by redreprap - Controllers
looks like i may have found an answer ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// //©2011 bildr //Released under the MIT License - Please reuse change and share //Using the easy stepper with your arduino //use rotate and/or rotateDeg to controll stepper motor //speed is any number from .01 -> 1 with 1 being fastest - //Slower Speed == Stronger movement ////////////////by redreprap - Reprappers
hi all, ive just been tinkering around with arduino without any proper guide source. i want to modify this bit of code so that it fires a stream to arduino telling attached steppers to move very slowly. the original code was used for testing arduino outputs. can it be done? if (micros() %9999999 <4999999) { digitalWrite(X_DIR_PIN , HIGH); digitalWrite(Y_DIR_PIN , HIGH); dby redreprap - Reprappers
u are getting 50degC in cont use? ... hmmm so id be overdriving mine if it 60-70 unloaded then? yes?by redreprap - Stepper Motors, Servo Motors, DC Motors
... saw a post on the toshiba or some driver doing a 3A drive but lost it .... any1 remember that?by redreprap - Stepper Motors, Servo Motors, DC Motors
hmmm i agree blade fuses do have advantages. ok got the part abt digipot. my feet looks dry after a few years of being out of touch with electronics lol i think if there is a ver 1.5 ... i would suggest better stepper drivers, that handles and sinks more power. i read somewhere re 1 that does 3A? already i am clocking abt 70degC on the tiny heatsinks so .... i be trying larger sinks next week :by redreprap - RAMPS Electronics
hi cefiar, you still use 12v on steppers? or 24v? are your stepper drivers hot? when mine was tested they go up to 70degC no/slight load ... not sure but mine looks kinda hot to me.by redreprap - RAMPS Electronics
wow i see u explored possibility of carbon fibre parts ... u know how to DIY them? this is 1 of the designs that inspired my ,machineby redreprap - Reprappers
hi guys i have began electronics test of my machine build ... just a run up of arduino with a test code + ramps + steppers i have adjusted the pot on the polulu so that when i apply load (with finger and thumb), they do not skip steps unless i apply very high (hand manual) force on it. is this considered a good way to adjust the pots? or should i rely on a scope wave form as i have read? theby redreprap - RAMPS Electronics
hmmm i have not even finished building my machine let alone print any bits ... but id say that the inability for the sides to come into alignment = stepper drive calibration problem?by redreprap - Reprappers
ok i am finally starting to build my machineby redreprap - Reprappers
i got lost when it says motor current controlled by digipot, what does that mean? so if all things are busy working, what is a reliable woking output for the stepper driver? 1A 20v ? johnoly99 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > You guys seen the RAMBo board, from UltiMachine, > creator of ramps? hmmm theres options but it doesnt do anything lol ... can you see a blank that allows you to add stuff ? edit --> ok yes i tried it on an alternate, yes you can add stuff and count number of ppl who click anything else on it. hmmm i think my poll could be wrongly formatted ... so it be good if you did 1 in your styleby redreprap - General
ok i can see that its working so ... errr .... happy clicking and add any applicable options folks LOLby redreprap - General
aha .. .well its open ended ... you can add options i think ... Simba Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I love it. oh prolly its friends only ... try this link as public is allowed access i think ?by redreprap - General
huh? unavailable? it does not appear? michaelc Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > thank you redreprap, although unavailable for me.by redreprap - General
i just tried something ... not sure if it will appear here correctly ... * tee hee hee * i have made it open ended, im not sure if anyof you can add additional options you can tick anything that applies? so i think it might work?by redreprap - General
ah yes you are right, i forgot that polulu are single chip solutions with mosfet inside. after reading your paragraph and looking at the vimeo link at the end ... i think i am about to watch something that will blow my mind and it did ... that kind of build is something i am trying to get at ... but i am building it in a bedroom so its not going to be as big as what i think it will be LOL ... fingers crossed i am hoping to finish my machine and start testing very soon droftarts Wroby redreprap - General
true ... since there is a poll going on in another thread, we could prolly ask user to post good resolution photos of what they bought so that it can be a good resource info on the supply chain (and hopefully help user ascertain consistencies of the materials)by redreprap - General
yea i think you got what i meant, the details. and also i think it be great if users specify if they know which country produces their filament that they have bought. i have not finished building my machine michaelc, my order of belts n pulleys from SDP-SI went to jupiter hahahaha ! so all i can say is, i am gathering info as much as i can about what to expect about filaments from users (not soby redreprap - General
i love your idea simply cos i had a thought of it too, my base build size is going to be about 2feet x 2feet. in theory, my nichrome bed, the wires is about 1 cm spaced (yours look like 1 inch spaced?) and is similar to your version of glass plate with bottom thermal insulation. and my machine frame is also WOOD !by redreprap - General
i agree, however ... i guess all in the community are working with non patent stuff and hopefully nobody wants to patent to the extent of driving prices up the wall or something. so then again, i have yet to finish my machine ... and i like to know ... how are the experiments so far? any nice good and bad videos to share ... i love them videos showing good and weird results DrDave Wrote: ----by redreprap - General
