just solder a 100k resistor to a socket and insert that in the thermistor pins. remove it when u are done.by ekaggrat - Reprappers
before i switched to using a 220v heated bed run by a ssr , i was using a small 12v 10A dc contact relay to power my mk2 heated bed . It runs fine as long as you add a diode and capacitor in parallel to take care of the back emf.by ekaggrat - Developers
@andy thanks a lot. the spring i am using are 7mm with 0.8 mm wire which is 60mm long. I will get a set of stronger springs and try again.by ekaggrat - Delta Machines
@Xabbax what is the size of the springs used between the rods ( diameter , wire diameter , length ) i am experimenting with a similar system on my 3dr and just nned to know what is a STRONG spring? thanksby ekaggrat - Delta Machines
@andy , can you please add a little more detail like spring diameter and spring wire diameter? will help me give a idea of what a STRONG spring is.. thanksby ekaggrat - Delta Machines
@andy what is the size of springs you are using? I tried this on my 3dr ( made new carriages and micro platform ) .The problem i face is that if i hit the rods by mistake while adjusting something on the printer the rods pop out of the socket and then everything goes flying here and there. Is this normal or are my springs not strong enough?by ekaggrat - Delta Machines

for all the hotends the flow rate varies a little, the best way is to calibrate it while printing using triffid hunters calibration guideby ekaggrat - Reprappers
i just realized the error. Sorry about my mistake. I have made a new more compact carraige which will sort the problem. use the attached stlby ekaggrat - Tantillus
nice work!!by ekaggrat - Developers
great to hear about the progress. in the next version i will change the bearings to v-groove ones . This will save space and will be more sturdy to pull the strings..by ekaggrat - Tantillus
@andy I found this ball joint on the firedelta google group . I think it will be useful for the next iteration of cherry pi google groupby ekaggrat - Delta Machines
one look and one can say the site and company is wack . They are not even aware of basics of 3d printing calibaration or haw a hot end should be made. Let alone providing a printer kit !!!by ekaggrat - India RUG
use this config file and replace it in your marlin folder...by ekaggrat - Tantillus
do you have pics of the mother printer that you printed this on. Also why is your corexy printer noisy?by ekaggrat - Tantillus
@mondo50m the system is based on the corexy. So in marlin you will need to enable the corexy configuration or it will not work. In a traditional xy setup one motor moves the x and the other moves the y. In this setup both the motors move the x and y . So if you dont enable corexy you will get weird movements. i hope this clears up things..by ekaggrat - Tantillus
The carraige already has holes for the strings which line up with the bearing. Please check themby ekaggrat - Tantillus
@mondo50m sorry to keep you waiting. Just got back home from a vacation... i have made some diagrams, hope it clears up the stringing. On the aluminum pulley you need to wind the string 5 times clockwise and 5 time anticlockwise. Start with a knot on the upper left corner on the x carriage, route the string and tie a knot on the lower right corner. Then start with a knot on the upper right corneby ekaggrat - Tantillus
The cable is same as any core xy system. I will send u a diagram as soon as i get home next week. Sorry for the delay.by ekaggrat - Tantillus
Great work. The bed size is 100 x 150 mmby ekaggrat - Tantillus
The extruder u r talking about is of poor quality and the reason of the clicking is because the hot end is not manufactured properly and needs a lot of force for extruding the filament which the motor cant provide. Either lower the speed or increase the temperature. I had got one of these with my first prusa i2 kit 2 years back and it went strraight to the binby ekaggrat - General
@andrea even for me after struggling with a j-head requiring too much force i change the extruder to a mk8 drive wheel which solved the problem to a great extent but too be on a safer side i am going to change my j-head to a E3d v6 as soon as i recieve it.. I have a self built shorter e3d (35mm length ) working on my mendelmax and that made a huge difference to the print quality from a clone j-hby ekaggrat - Delta Machines
10mm to 12 mm insulation foam ( the kind they use in wall insulation ) works best ... if you access to glass wool ( 5-8 mm ) that works bestby ekaggrat - Delta Machines
imho the only thing that works for all kinds of PLA is a headed bed with pva coated glass. The dillution of the pva depends on the percentagge of pva in the glue.. tried hair spray , kypton tape , masking tape , duct tape, electrical tape , green tape , CF vinyl ( work 90 percent of the time but still not good enough ) ... best one till now pva on heated glass for abs kypton tape on heated glasby ekaggrat - Mechanics
have you tried using any other normal powder like plaster of paris ?by ekaggrat - Powder Printing and Selective Laser Sintering
@alayax The hardware for a mixer is a bit complex and you need a active mixer to get a good mix. After you get that right the biggest problem is getting a slicer to generate g-code for color mixing. Once you get that through you need a firmware which supports that Yes all this is so simple ( sarcasm ) that you could do it in a day. Go figureby ekaggrat - Developers
i loved the grading texture in the layers of cement. .. Gives it a kind of character. Maybe you could add pigment and get some more variation ...just a thoughtby ekaggrat - General

@sheepdog43 Thanks again for the tips and the link. I will soon convert to a heated bed as i don't like the cold one. In my part of the world the blue tape is too expensive so mostly i have to do with carbon fiber vinyl on a acrylic bed. The unibots hobb looks good in the pics i will order one and see. When the griffin's hobb is available please put me down for a few. Also one more question wby ekaggrat - Delta Machines
