Quotestanger2k I looked over that pdf and it answered a lot of my questions.. and no, I thought i could wire the power directly to the bltouch, not that I have to pass the power it into the board which sends it back to the sensor. If all goes well, I should have some time to hook it up this weekend. Quotetjnamtiw Quotestanger2k So I've bought a bltouch and I already have therippa's code, my xby sonnylowe - Prusa i3 and variants

Quotetjnamtiw Quotesonnylowe BTW: I designed some magnetic mounts for my print glass...I love this upgrade, no more crappy binder clips in the way, well worth the effort!!! What a great idea! Why didn't I think of that. I use the darn magnets for everything else!!!! Quick change glass!!! Thanks!!! Quoteiamquestar Would anyone who is running the E3D v6 with a Bowden care to share your retraction settings? I am struggling to get it right. I've played with a number of different distances and speeds, but have been unhappy with the results at the start/stop point of each layer. I don't have stringing, but it seems that I either have blobs, or caves (or both!). What I mean by a cave is a divby sonnylowe - Prusa i3 and variants

Quotejabu32 Anyone mess with the swap filament command? Quotemsaeger I finally got around to installing Sonny's v-slot Y axis. I would defiantly recommend doing this as your first upgrade. It is only slightly quieter than what I had but I spent a lot of time and went through many iterations to get it as quiet as it was. Installing this was so much easier than the rods and bearings you don't really need to worry about getting anything lined up like witby sonnylowe - Prusa i3 and variants
With all the new kid's chatter about slicing software I thought I'd through S3D in the mix (I know it's expensive, but it's well worth the price of admission :-)...here is a great example of just how well the support function works in S3D. The support in this part was automatically generated, but S3D does allow custom placement and removal of support material, it also allows varying densitiesby sonnylowe - Prusa i3 and variants

QuoteBoffster QuoteBoffster Wow this thread's getting busy! I'm hoping to change over to lead screws this weekend now all the bits have finally arrived but wanted to check with others regarding backlash. Wouldn't the weight of the X carriage eliminate any backlash as (thanks to gravity) it's always pulling down on the brass nut?
