email sent, thanks. I will be able to review your PLA (forgetting the colour problem) for other users this wayby DeuxVis - For Sale
Hello Esunpla, got a few questions. What do you mean by "not right color", could you post a picture please ? Do you certify the filament are under 3mm diameter on their whole length ? Do you got a webshop, or how do we buy from you ? What payment methods do you allow (paypal, etc) ? I'd be interested in some PLA. Thanks for your attention.by DeuxVis - For Sale
It still does not works sometimes. Of those 2 attempts, only the 2cm get one pass walls from sf41 for me. Although the 4cm is way thinner. Go figure... # 2 cm thin walled box difference() { cube( [20, 20, 5], true); cube( [19.09, 19.09, 5.1], true); } # 4 cm thin walled box difference() { cube( [40, 40, 10], true); cube( [39.9999, 39.9999, 10.1], true); } Attaching the STL if anyone withoby DeuxVis - Skeinforge
I have the exact same problem, So I'll try that too and report.by DeuxVis - Skeinforge
Yes I did, without result. Actually I even try disabling the fill plugin, but same result, so I suppose it's not the cullprit. Oh wait I found why. My STL cube wall was not thin enough, it was 0.2 mm, lowering to .02mm worked. Strange that a 0.2 mm wall needs more than 1 pass with a 0.5mm nozzle doing 0.4mm layer height. Oh well. Thanks for your help.by DeuxVis - Skeinforge
I'm in the process of doing first settings on my Huxley. I'm trying to print a single hollow cube that would need only one pass to make each wall, but I cannot get it with skeinforge : however thin I make the walls in the STL, skeinforge still makes each wall with 2 widths of extruded plastic. Is there a setting I'm missing that I could disable to get the expected result ? I know I could just hby DeuxVis - Skeinforge
Hi, sorry can't help with your current problem, but wanted to mention the white smoke on your video looks like you're overheating something. When I had this the last time I broke my hotend (ptfe thermal barrier cylinder creeping and dropping the barrel). Usually I believe a hotend shouldn't smoke at all (never tried ABS yet then, only PLA).by DeuxVis - Reprappers
I find it makes an easier result with those connectors to first remove the insulation from half a centimeter of the wires and fold the stripped metal onto the insulated part. You then proceed as recommended on the wiki, making sure the stripped part is under the plastic, so that even if you don't pierce the plastic the contact will be made anyway. Make sure to check for shorts before using the cby DeuxVis - General Mendel Topics

Maybe that wiki will help, even if it's about more than just swaping to a resistor : Thanks to Kliment who gave me that link the other day on irc.by DeuxVis - Controllers

For reference, my drivers give out 0.4 to 0.5 A per phase (measured) and everything works fine. The temperature stays quite low on the motors, never above 50°c - I didn't have a look at chips temperature yet, will do.by DeuxVis - RAMPS Electronics
If your electronic powers your motors when idle, could try the heat method as described here. Otherwise a multimeter plugged in serial to one motor wire - also described on that wiki - can help : turn down the pot until the motor won't have enough current to move then back up a little to give 1.25 to 1.5 times the current you measured. Also the sound helps - motors cry high or low when current iby DeuxVis - RAMPS Electronics
Got monotronics too, from TZ. Never experimented what you mention, but my crappy TZ hotend acted like a 'fuse' - PTFE rod creeping and letting the brass nozzle pop off - last time I overheated, so I plugged it off before it reached anywhere that hot.by DeuxVis - RepSnapper
Oh yes sorry, forgot about that, wasn't able to have the last version build. Here's what I got : ~/src/repsnapper$ git log commit e4b22ec6e9edde94eefd7b683256031796c9421a Author: Elmom Date: Sun Apr 17 09:56:40 2011 +0300 Fixed the docs of V1 to clone the proper branchby DeuxVis - RepSnapper
For me (Ubuntu 10.04) the current temperature is on repsnaper's interactive tab, on the nozzle - heat on/off - current - target temperature line - vertically near the middle of the right panel.by DeuxVis - RepSnapper
Communication problem (card not receiving the "heat off" gcode properly) maybe ? What kind of hotend / electronics do you have ? Hopefully you didn't burn anything out...by DeuxVis - RepSnapper
There have been some experimentations with low temperature melting alloys. See for instance on RepRap Blog.by DeuxVis - General
I got my little sample pack of various PLA colours from them quite fast (2 or 3 days, don't remember exactly), thanks. Will post more details when I have the filaments tested.by DeuxVis - For Sale

Oh, ok, didn't get before now that RAMPS is actually an arduino shield (addon board). Thanks.by DeuxVis - For Sale
I believe what you see is an artifact of the way the temperature is controlled, switching heat on when under target minus a threshold and switching off when over target plus threshold. See nophead's blog entry about bang-bang temperature control.by DeuxVis - Reprappers
Nice shop. I got 2 questions. You are shipping from Europe, right ? I'm trying to avoid overseas deals for reduced shipping cost and environmental impact. I can see that the fully assembled RAMPS 1.3 is less expensive than the matching full DIY kit. Why that ?by DeuxVis - For Sale
Tout dépend sous quelle forme tu souhaites acheter : kit complet ou en plusieurs "morceaux" (pièces plastiques, quincaillerie, électronique...).
