don't use their firmware use smoothiewares-edge theres issus with their mks firmware not the config fill then your endstops will work correctlyby chris33 - Controllers
Ok i thought i would post this here for relevance and searchable material as i struggled myself to understand what i needed to do to run the duet 0.85 from the computer alone without no bridge or needing a router or cross over cable as my delta i wanted it to be able to take it places where there might not be router, now this as i believe will only work if your adapter has autoconfiguration, Toby chris33 - Duet
I've built a mini Kossel and printed a pedestal for it with 12mm mdf base is you look at the thread Kossel k800 overall height of it is 720mm, I would definatly go with aluminium corners and goof thing i like about deltas is the actual movement of them, and I built mine so I can take it placesby chris33 - Delta Machines
look at the controller post up the details name of it surely we can get it going does sound to me it could not have any firmware, plus i also previous situations for some reasons i downloaded ftdi driver may help but start being knowing what controller your usingby chris33 - General
baudrate looks low you tried 152000by chris33 - General

(other clone haters bit harsh) no its because they say the items opensource (where are all the files too? where could i go out and make a mks sbase) if people like the smoothie developers and duet developers put the files out as opensource its open simple i can make one you can make one everyone make one everyone developes it or help ironing out problems, everyone has their input in making it beby chris33 - Delta Machines
why not just buy all the parts individually like i did i thought a kit be ok but the amount of upgrading be best doing it from the start. ie i have metal corners and linear rail, if i bought a kit i would of spent more upgrading the rails and the corners, also mks sbase is a cheap solution without having the aftercare one should give if your selling a product, ie you tell them issues and they donby chris33 - Delta Machines
Well i got it to print just been doing 20x20x10 boxes, I have to print them on a raft due to no heatbed. it started to extrude too much so i dialled down my e-steps from 3800 to 3600, thisngs to sort is a proper filament path using 3mm filament its so stiff that the force knocks the effector of sometimes so ill be concentrating on that the next few days i can optimise the pathe from the spool toby chris33 - Delta Machines

if your printing pla the fan is a defo what speed are you printing? what type of extruder have you got? what temps are you printing at? start with the extruder is it been calibrated?by chris33 - Printing
i don't understand you already have a post about the nimble so why make another post you could of announced it on the already made postby chris33 - For Sale
i would go for something more like mgn12 or mgn15by chris33 - Extruded Aluminum Frames
you got do your calibrations with the hot end off, extrude out 10mm then mark then in steps of 10mm or how long your want to do it i did 100mm so 10 steps at 10mm then marked the filament then i measured and adjusted my e-steps until i got the correct amount, i followed the prusa calculator wayby chris33 - Printing
Quotetiteuf007 QuoteDjDemonD Good luck, sensors often are easier but not necessarily more accurate, I sometimes check the sensor by manually calibrating. personally i have tried without sensor and no good results if you keep an eye about my youtube video you will see that i have used esch3D website to tune my delta but it s not perfect on all corners after spending so much time...smoothiewarby chris33 - Delta Machines
I bought a mks sbase because it was cheap and i thought i shorted it, but it will due to a endstop wire, with the duet its a lot easier to set up, when i get the paneldue ill be able also send gcode commands from the tft not like the mks tft as i want my kossel be a total stand alone machine, as ill be using it part of my business plan Firmware is irrelevant to me i spawned from using marlin on mby chris33 - Delta Machines
Ok i got the duet working next stage is heat and print surface, I did do a bed probe to see the height map just to see if there was a slant, i was expecting it to be really horrorfying but wasn't to bad but probably giving me false hopeby chris33 - Delta Machines
thankyou for your help id just thought id run a test move on the auto calibration it all did what it should do thankyou again for your helpby chris33 - Duet
Bit of progress i did another configuration using tool again and thought id just do the the calibration find nozzle height just in centre as to see where about roughly it is. I did the g30 s1 command went down and stopped nothing reset or looked as if it was shorting out, so i homed and did the g30 went down really nothing happened as before, worked fine, defiantly a weird one that isby chris33 - Duet
is your wiring on the stepper configured correctly, i fogot which way it is you may have to google it, but when i was putting my connectors on my motors i didn't know which wires was paired together, but theres a method if you put two wires to get one you will feel resistance and if you pair other way it doesn't, but i cannot im my life rembember id check how the wiring is from your motor to theby chris33 - Delta Machines
i have reprapfirmware 1.18.1, im going to look at the mechanical switch itself i got a new one, as the g30 movement is very very slow i know it prob slow but this is really slow maybe a dodgy switch itself ill post what findings ill get no biggie give me chance to do it manual configuration and isnt fully finished ready for printing anywaysby chris33 - Duet
I thought i would be able to replicate the issue by just pressing it and checking the status, i would of thought it would do the same wether i send a g30 or not but function fine when i press it, it only reboots during a g30 command which is odd i did check the wiring nothing untowards ill just have to wait and get a ir sensor lol but it just baffled me been over it and over itby chris33 - Duet
ok im using sm3 3a 125/250vac micrositch have the switch wired nc, on the duet its on eo on two outer pins i inverted the switch which i figured out how to do but have issue. soon as the switch is pressedthe board resets and i have to reconnect web control, also do i need proterface opened and connected while i use web control as webcontrol only connects when i connect proterfaceby chris33 - Duet
yes i have got it on e0 so it the outer oins on the switch so ok to be in trigger state when the switch is press?by chris33 - Duet
Hi just installed the duet 0.85 (non wifi) on my mini kossel and i have a mechanical switch probe, so the original setup was the two outer tabs on the switch itself.it triggers obviously when the switch was pressed is that correct? , because i thought it would be the other way around ie once the probe lifts of the switch then it be triggered, because i wired it differently the outer tab to theby chris33 - Duet
Ok i never got new connectors i just trimmed the tabs of the ones attached, i did another wiring tidy up installed the duet 0.85 The duet board well what can i say i wish i went with it 1st instead the mks sbase, It took me a while and few questions on irc to get new firmware on it because i couldn't get the bossac program to run, so after reserving a ip address on my router and plugging it in tby chris33 - Delta Machines
Have you got flats on the shaft of your motors? if not file some so your grub screws lock onto the shaft, my experience if you have no skipping steps problem or loose belts, the your pulley is slipping some parts may not show depending on how much jerky movement is in the object your printing,by chris33 - Printing
QuotePelle13 Bad news... Anything else I print with 0.2 layer height still being a disaster... That's happened because your nozzle height, that's why the cube has a bad first layer, use hairspray and first layer print with no fan bed at 60 then drop bed temp after 2-3 layers to 50,turn layer fan on 2nd layer.its critical you get your nozzle distance correct as the above picture looks to me theby chris33 - Printing
Just a update on the progress, well there has not been much i have decided to strip out the mks base because i think i might of shorted it ( wondered where the t-nut fell ) so im going to put that on my i3 when i rebuild it. Got a duet 0.85 now so im going to rewire everything just waiting on connectors, also considering in figuring a way i can take the cupped magnets out the the carries and repby chris33 - Delta Machines
