i don't understand why this post is been created and is nothing the with article MechaBits its to do with the zesty nimble and the flex3drive and how similar it is and they've said something about a license, and they are fishing out for advice how it stands, basically innovated the flex3drive to suit their needs because they want a extruder that fits the chimera hotend and now after ten monthsby chris33 - General

ok so you invented a case to surround a existing technology and changing the ratio of 1:30 from the existing technology out there so you have innovated an existing product which I understand fully, but what about the 1st printers who the community which I talk about like the ultimakers, deltas, the prusa i3s' the 1st people to adopt the existing technology designed their own plastic part to accoby chris33 - Crowdfunding Projects Announcements

I have to say this I got into RepRap/3d printing, not because of the easy way to take advantage of the open source community and sell other people's work, ie printing Prusa i3 parts and selling them on eBay for example, as personally, I think it's morally wrong but if people are ok with that then do what you must, back to the point I got into the RepRap and open source to find a way to get everyoby chris33 - Crowdfunding Projects Announcements

Funny these guys talking about china cloning when they just ripped the Flex3drive design and then asking community to pay for their tooling - this post should be moved to crowdfunding announcement section this is not a RepRap item they have made no real contribution just a bit slick on their marketing to mislead people they even claim to have invented it which is a jokeby chris33 - Crowdfunding Projects Announcements

to be honest if is just the regular setting up things up good idea read through smoothieware and use their smoothie edge firmware than the mks version on their GitHub, if you need support for the hardware then yes only the manufacturer can help there, but there are a few users on here help if you get stuckby chris33 - General

1st of all you will need a layer fan or you will end up with prints like this without a cooling fan Here's with a cooling fan the banding error ignore that's because the printer 2nd hand and nozzles or worn and the blower was bootstrap made from cardboard as i need it to print a workable printed duct as you see from above pictures that wasn't good idea trying without something to cool the lby chris33 - Printing

id make a jig fit the balls into i did and made sure the centers of the balls was correct then epoxy glued them in place, good way of doing that if the tube is -/+0.5mm at least the thread can make up the difference, while getting the hinge point measurement correctly.by chris33 - Delta Machines

i thought a solid state relay works by having enough input voltage to trigger the switch ie ive seen 3v-32v input so i would imagine minimal would be 3v i don't know but hopefully when i get the parts ill try and figure it out, because i need to do the exact same, i was talking to someone on the irc about the sbase and he advised me to run the heatbed seperate through a ssr and i just though ifby chris33 - Controllers

i don't think your power supply is powerful enough to run the whole printer hence why your havin issues i now you need more ampage if your runnig everything from one psuby chris33 - Controllers

Having a look through my config file and also new to smoothieware myself, it seems you have to write in more functions for the probing to work, as in the sample config files i have don't have the coordinates for the probe points ans reading up on the smoothieware website, it looks like you have to add that piece in yourselfby chris33 - Controllers

why does your firmware have two values in this part #define MANUAL_Z_HOME_POS 270//306.6 Z home is to the max so it should be the distance from the nozzle and bed, i would load up proterface, home machine g92 z0 then manually lower the i use feeler gauges so i try to get to 0.1, then M114 find out the Z value, add the value to to your z home position, then recompile update firmware if you haveby chris33 - Delta Machines

mechanical issues that cause layer shift are pulleys and loose belts, i would make sure that your pulleys are not slipping on the shaft of the motor i would see what amps your supplying your motors and what amps your motors can takeby chris33 - General

Okay update, after i watched the video of the calibrating manual using m666 and m665 on smoothieware webpage, and I realised that I was doing the procedure wrong so i spent time making custom buttons and managed to get it all level well it will need adjusting when the new effector gets fitted, but its better being close then further away here's a few pictures nothing different (apart from usingby chris33 - Delta Machines

Could someone please explain to me in smoothieware what the end stop trim sought's out, as my z carriage touches the end stop arm witch is correct while my x and y are 2mm off, ive squared everything mechanically wise up. You see im trying start the calibration and getting my effector to move across my bed flat i was getting aa bowl/dome effect and been tweaking at my arm radius as its very hardby chris33 - Delta Machines
