The Father of all Children? Dont throw all the toys out at once Yeah let's start with the bed & which side you got out of it this morninby MechaBits - CoreXY Machines
thats better, ideally I want the clamp on the board because it looks neater, but if I put the clamp on the bed profile, all I need to swap it between machines is plates rather than more clamps...so guess I wont be adding it to the board, but there only 3 holes in the clamp, but I could put many more in the plate.by MechaBits - Extruded Aluminum Frames
I was thinking you made the bed cart in one piece (actually I think my brain saw one piece and then tried to imagine what that one piece would look like) including drive mech & all that you needed, then saw the picture and all the pieces Do you know how many kilo's you used?by MechaBits - Developers
Found a nice piece of wood that I immediately thought would make the ideal base for the cantilever printer. Made of 3 strips but on this one they where less visible, Acacia seems hard enough just dont want any screws near the joins or edges. The Z & Arm where complete a while back but the bed & the base where still in limbo. I finally get a low profile bed i'm happy with, there will beby MechaBits - Extruded Aluminum Frames
what are you talking about one part? seems to be lots of parts. ah you mean bought for the bed, plus the other parts, read it as one printed part for the bed.by MechaBits - Developers
I cut a silicon trivet and made a little wind break, just incase, I doubt it would help in your case, you possibly dont need part cooling, when i used mine it was on 10% any less it would stop, but lately once bed adhesion got the ellnet hold i dont need part cooling for PLA, but it does help to have more than one part on the bed allowing enough time for each layer to cool.by MechaBits - General
Do you need these fans, sounds like your talking part cooling.by MechaBits - General
QuoteDust It doesn't. You tell it where it is. Normally you park it at a known location then power off. On next power on you tell it where it is again. Its a pain in the butt, but does work. I just make sure I send it to Z=0 after the last print(dont bother with x & y), and when I start I just put the head close to the corner, but out the way of the bed level screw as when the motors engby MechaBits - Reprappers
maybe one day i'll use endstops...but they dont alf add some clutter.by MechaBits - Reprappers

Hotend / Fan Shroud for the Mini Machine, new Filament Roll (YS) so all those larger parts I've been putting off for months might see the light of day. Haven't bothered adjusting anything since the last roll and didnt want to open another until the printing mood came back, it's taken a while, and it will still probably last a few months And a couple of little parts for the cube, noby MechaBits - Extruded Aluminum Frames
Will 5mm carbon tubes flex or break? Frame looks like my old hifi stand idea, what did you salvage it from?by MechaBits - General New Machines Topics
ditch one screw of the bed & try againby MechaBits - General
so they say, but it seems quite rare for me its only happened once or twice here, but obviously better to try & free up the computer.by MechaBits - General
even faster if you use an sd card...though ive not done it in a while as I just print from the PC.by MechaBits - General
If only I could do this for my hi8 video camby MechaBits - Look what I made!
@DD Have you used the cam side of it? I dont like the idea of cloud based apps(especially if your trying to do something new) so will avoid as much as possible.by MechaBits - General
@DD I would only be interested in the CAM side of things, so wasnt going to try it till I needed to do that, I spent years on 3DSMax but have avoided it for years, it's an effort to work that way, so didnt fancy another autodesk app. At one time I did want to start using inventor, but today would prefer 360 over that, one day i'll give it a go but try to avoid wasting more time on new apps untilby MechaBits - General

are there any primitives in 360? or do you have to always draw a 2D shape first?by MechaBits - General

yeah but its better to master 3 and then move onto 4 if you need or want to.by MechaBits - General

Doubt this is what you need, but if you aint seen it already, nice robot arm but not steppers He was working on his own but also with brushless.by MechaBits - Polar Machines, SCARA, Robot Arms
it's a vid from 2015, perhaps it should go in the right section. These YT Recommendations are a pain when you want to something off piste, stuck in a conformation bias loop, the other day I wanted something new & hit trending....sorry I did it doesnt paint a great picture of the world.by MechaBits - General
