Hi Ian, I just managed to get everything working, and it is like you said. I mixed up the wiring for the heater cartridge and the thermistor, which created the problem. Now everything is fine Thanks so much for the assistance!by KennethY89 - Huxley
Hi Ian, Thanks for the help! I managed to get my bed temperature reporting properly after redoing the wiring. However my extruder temperature still gives me the -273.1 degree output on Pronterface. Here are my findings from the troubleshooting guide steps 1) Check the temperature in Pronterface. Is the reported temperature the same? The reported temperature is hovering at -39 to -40 degrees 2by KennethY89 - Huxley
Hi Ian, Thanks for the tips and pointing me to the troubleshooting section It seems that I indeed have a short circuit in my thermistors, because I get massive resistance in my wires for both the hot end and bed, and not the typical 100k ohms. If that is the case, is my Melzi board considered condemned, or do I just need to redo my wiring on the hot end and the heated bed?by KennethY89 - Huxley
Hi guys, I've finally managed to reach the stage where I can turn on my little Huxley, but I'm getting very strange temperature readings for my bed and extruder temperatures, as you can see in the attached screenshot. I get the below after pressing "Check temp" when I connect to the printer via Pronterface (Screenshot in file Temperror.png) T: -273.1/ -273.1 B:-14.3/-273.1@:0 And this is theby KennethY89 - Huxley
Thanks for the help! I had to remove the heated bed assembly to do it, but it is now all fixedby KennethY89 - Huxley
Hi guys, Thanks so much for the suggestions and help with the parts the other time for my RepRap Huxley. This time I got some confusion about securing the belt overlap in the belt clamp. I'm referring to the instructions in the RepRap documentation for the Y Axis Assembly Previously I did try to put the belt clamp together, but the MXL belt that I used was too short. Hi everyone, I've been working on my RepRap Huxley printer for that past 5 months now, and I've done it up all the way to the part of setting up the wiring for the printer. Here's my baby Honestly I am very confused at this point as I have no previous engineering background, and have been pretty much muddling along all this while. To make matters worse, I've lost the remainingby KennethY89 - Huxley
As what the title says. I'm someone with no prior technical experience but am very interested in just trying to build my first 3d printer. Anyone here got tips on how I can get started. Especially where sourcing for materials to build is concerned. I would like to not spend above SGD500, as I'm just entering the workforce and do not have much extra savings, so any tips or lobang you guys can sharby KennethY89 - Singapore RUG
