Hi all, When laying down the first layer, my printer seems to jitter in the Y axis, causing there to be gaps in the plastic. Oddly it seems to be the first layer only, and when filling large areas (perimeters and skirt print just fine). I've checked the axis is free, adjusted the current pot up and down a little, checked there is no binding in the belt and nothing seems to be getting hot. I amby ThePhilStrongProject - Huxley
Hi, I've tried a few things now which haven't fixed my problem - I'm still unable to print! - Cleaned the tape off the heatsink and replaced with thermal compound - Experimented with a few different filaments - Levelled the print bed - Upgraded to the latest firmware I'm out of ideas now! Thanks, Philby ThePhilStrongProject - Huxley
I will have a look tomorrow evening - I've already cleaned the fan on the hot end out, maybe I need to replace the thermal compound too. Thanks for the reply, Ian. It's very much appreciated.by ThePhilStrongProject - Huxley
Sorry to bump this thread but I can't print anything taller than about 5mmby ThePhilStrongProject - Huxley
Hi all, My (used, bought from a friend, used to work) RepRapPro Huxley is failing prints after about 15 layers. The extruder begins skipping and the quality of the plastic being laid down reduces significantly. The first layers are great. Any ideas? Picture of an attempted print of the Huxley extruder idler below. Thanks, Philby ThePhilStrongProject - Huxley
