12mm leading into a 10mm bore is causing a pressure drop, and will take more force to operate, and it places the auger further away from the nozzle. This also increase the amount of resin in compression (it's a spring), and will cause some diameter variation. I would think that you would want to terminate the auger at the face of the nozzle. Grind the end of the auger flat. I would probably wby A2 - Plastic Extruder Working Group
Stratasys Drops One Patent from Its Lawsuit Against Afinia This case is important beyond the fates of Stratasys and Afinia because the Stratasys patents could potentially cover many more desktop 3D printers. Last month, the court directed Stratasys to dismiss the accusation of infringement in relation to the patent that was related to controlling infill. In short, that means that one of the fouby A2 - General

LASER, or Inductive prox sensor: based only on what I have read, I don't think that will work. Here are all my links on FSR: FSR Mount, Neoprene Rubber (not foam). This seems to have the proper flexibility and lack of compression. End Stops: Magnetic Hall Sensor, Auto level probe. Would an optical sensor be an improvement? Filament detection using an end stop. some gotchas.. the steppers will not move in a negative direction if it thinks the min endstop for that axis is triggered. Use a welded exoskeleton/superstructure. Use >=16mm ball profile linear bearings. Sounds like you plan to only print with PLA, which isn't any good for structural components. Given enough time acetone, or any solvent is probably going to destroy some thing, and it's a fire hazard. Use a all metal hot end with water cooling. Some aluminum grades are very soft, inspect the nozzle orifice for damage. If you're curious ask your hot end supplier what material they made the nozzle from, my guess is it's machined from the softer 6061 aluminum. 7075 is considered aircraft grade aluminum, 2024 has some properties close to mild steel, (I've machined, and designed parts with 2024, it's good stuff, don't weld it).
