I was have same problem with my usb port. You can change default com port number under XP: Go hardware admin, select your com11 port and go "properties" button. goto "config port", select a com2 (or a free com port) If all ports below com9 are "in use", select a sure free com port (for example com5) and agree warning. I was have same hotend and was broke in minutes . was try to glue with cement, with silicon (600ºC) with wrong result. Use a PTFE block and screw to X-carrier. no more problems.by danx3 - General
I was using normal and cheap yellow painter's tape with PLA too without heated bed, but need to be a good quality tape, need higher temp than normal and pla is difficult to take off from tape. Some big parts have a adhesion problems if using the normal pla temperature. Dont use painter's tape with soft pla due have a lot of adhesion to tape and need to destroy the soft pla to take off tapeby danx3 - General
I'm using about 0.7mm nozzle in my prusa. The resolution is OK for replication prusa parts. That produce a bit less resolution but good result include pulleys. Pulley's dents not 100% triangles but seen ok and functional. holes for rods are perfect. In my case, need reduce speed because now flow more plastic at same extruder espeed and that drop temp when filling I see a double resistor extruderby danx3 - General

Sorry, just learn M103 and M101 codes aren't for stepper motors. isn't a firmware problem. Just create a replace.csv form skeinforge and works ok. Thanks.by danx3 - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Hi, i have a GEN7 V1.2 Board with latest firmware and used skeinforge to convert stl file to gcode. I use RepRap Host program for send files to my prusa. While sending gcode files, i see some a lot of request to resend lines and sometimes stop sending at all. Does anyone know what happend? Hi, I have a V1.2 Gen7 board on my mendel prusa except cooling. In the PIN.H fiveD gcode interpreter file, i see a fan is attach to pin 31: #define EXTRUDER_0_FAN_PIN (byte)31 Pin31 I think means "Digital 31" or really pin40 on ATMEGA as i see in dedicated gen7 v1.2 picture: In the RepRap Host program when active "cooling Fan" of my extruder zero, i see an GCode M106 sent to prusaby danx3 - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Hi, for everyone want a "SendTo" conversion: * Hit windows key+"R" (windows Run) * write "SENDTO" (or "shellendTo" for vista/7) in run window. * sendto window now shows some files like mail, my documents.... * create new .cmd file for your skeinforge command. rigth click over a blank place and press new->cmd * edit cmd just created. this is sample cmd: @echo off cls echo Converting %1 to GCOby danx3 - Skeinforge
Of course, i have attached some captures: * Material (over a custom beared dispenser with test parts recycled): * Glue used for resistors (this cement is used for mufflers or similars and can handle up to 1000ºC): * Final print with that ABS over tile (custom piece, need learn more skeinforge): * Final print take of heated bed (you can see particles of tile in the final plastic printed): * PSby danx3 - General
Hi, i'm dont know where to post this topic due dont find "heated bed" related subform. I have a custom made heated bed with some 6.8 ceramic resistors and 6A 12V PSU. My thermistor was broken. the heated bed was go really hot !. Tile doesnt broken but some pieces was "sodered" onto ABS. Glass sure was broken by high temp. I think wall tile is better than glass for heated bed. As u see, i dont usby danx3 - General

Yes, its for same moves, but exceed 3A and pololu drivers max is 2A Each stepper is 3.6V 1.7A/phase Maybe a 4A driver with same pinout as that pololu driver? where to find?by danx3 - Stepper Motors, Servo Motors, DC Motors
