Hi all, I am a college student based in western NY. I have access to an Epilog Laser printer. I can cut anything of your dreams that fits in my 18"x12" table. I also have the rotary attachment and can do custom glassware and mag lights. I also work in a full service machine shop and can take custom jobs there also. If you want it, I can help make it, AJM11by ajm11 - Job Shop: I make stuff!
I am selling frogs of all flavors. All frogs are $8 plus shipping via USPS with tracking number. I cut from the official files from .25" oak plywood. Other thick sheet parts available, I only offer the frog first as that is one of the hardest parts to hand fabricate. See Link:by ajm11 - For Sale

there seems to be some serious issues with gcode generationby ajm11 - RepSnapper
I am currently using reprap as part of my senior capstone design project for a B.S in Mechanical Engineering. Mainly focusing on precision improvements. Also using a huxley to teach my schools junior class about rapid prototyping. Feel free to pmby ajm11 - General

nice idea, but im pretty set with just keeping on the forum and irc. At least then the knowledge is pretty well contained and easily found.by ajm11 - Huxley
Your order receipt should have a phone number, you should give them a call. I've had great customer service lately and they just brought in another guy to help them out.by ajm11 - General
Im running the bowden currently. not a huge fan as it presents a lot of ooze issuesby ajm11 - Huxley
Seems yall are following right in my foot steps of last week. I have been able to generate some successful prints using Repsnapper as skeinforge scares me. My settings for PLA: Extruder temp: 220 (issues in the melt nozzle so i run it high) Extrusion Multiplier: 1.4 Extruded material width: .6 Extruded height: .4 Min/Max print speed: around 1800 (some blow out issues) Z Printspeed: 50 No raft Inby ajm11 - Huxley
It would be tight. I will measure Mon. How tall is the Adrian exntruder?by ajm11 - Huxley
I am just wondering why so few are using a finer extruder than .5. Are there a lot more issues to be concerned with at a finer layer size?by ajm11 - General
I recommend Ultimachine. Ordered PLA the other day and it shipped right away. You can only get natural colored abs from techzonecom.com Makergear.com also seems to have a good supply of PLAby ajm11 - Reprappers
I see you are using repsnapper. Check your gcode after you generate the model. In the initial extrude temp set code, for whatever reason repsnapper defaults it to M104 S73.0. Just edit that line to your desired temp (I run 225 degrees so mine becomes M104 S225.0) and you should be ok. There is also a suggestion not to update temp during printing as it can cause communication issues.by ajm11 - Reprappers
I had the same issue. Being a manufacturing/mechanical engineer I took the hardware approach and swapped the wires.by ajm11 - Reprappers
I have finished setting up and running a techzone huxley with the monolithic electronics. I found the build quality of the kit to be quite acceptable (a few small warps) and the monotronics work beautifully. In addition I have found their customer support to be quite good. Lambert, kim, and kurt have answered any of the few questions/requests that I have had. I would recommend them to anyone. Iby ajm11 - General
I have found I have the same issue with my techzone huxley. Ive tried adjusting the pots up and down. Ultimately just added heat sinks.by ajm11 - General
Welcome. I've built both a mendel (currently held up by electronics issues) and a huxley. The huxley printed its first bottle opener last night.... I agree with the above that the mechanics are the easy part. I am in love with the techzone monolithic board in comparison to the 6 individual boards of my mendel. Enjoyby ajm11 - General
Got enough to stick to print our first thing. It certainly was tested the night afterwards as we celebrated. Definitely going to tighten up the infill. Also got to solve the ooze issue associated with the bowden cable.by ajm11 - Huxley
I have just finished a huxley kit (after finder several construction issues) and was also trouble by the hookup issue. You seem to have received the wrong cat5 cable. You need a complete cat5 (with both ends) which plugs into the tip board and the motherboard beside the power connection.by ajm11 - Huxley
Can someone give me an idea of start up settings. I have a techzone huxley running repsnapper with abs (may switch to pla soon). Here are the questions: -How far do you setthe tip of the extruder from the print plate at your z home? -How do you get the stuff to stick to the plate, mine just gobs out and drags around. -What does the extrusion multiplier do? -What should my print speeds be around?by ajm11 - Huxley

Hi all, In order to fund my huxley I need to sell these electronics. I have a gen 1.2 MOBO (asking $50) and 3 gen2.3 stepper drivers (asking $25 a piece). I list these in AS IS condition but I believe they are working. They talk to my computer and my computer talks back. The drivers are all good. I also have an extruder controller but its not communicating with me (the stepper drives but the heby ajm11 - For Sale

Hi all, I have been working on this issue for quite some time. Im using Repsnapper in conjunction with reprap boards Gen3. I have setup all my axes and they all work when manually moved. The extruder motor runs when told to manually. The issue comes when I manually try to turn on the heater. Repsnapper sends M104 S220. Nothing happens. No lights turn on and nichrome is cold. Greetings all, I finally got my reprap up and going...sort of. Cracked my thermistor setting up my hot end and now need to order some. Are there any suppliers cheaper than the makerbot $5 model. Can I order any 100k thermistor? Would this be suitable:by ajm11 - General
