Hey, I send an email to Thingiverse and now they actually implemented a simple search engine: Hopefully they will have a complete product soon.by zzarbi - General
I did the same I ask them about it at the beginning of this year... and they told me they would implement it soon... Still nothing. My search engine is not perfect but I can improve it. I also ask them if they were going to built an API so I can mine their data and they said no :/ So I add to manually parse it.by zzarbi - General
Hi, I love Thingiverse but I hate their search feature which is "powered" by Google. So I built http://thingisearch.com to fix that problem I hope this is not view as advertising since I'm not making any cash with this project and I have no intention to do so. This project is literally just a search engine, every link are redirected to thingiverse.com For example this link http://thingisearchby zzarbi - General
I think that this version is version 1 of repsnapper it's not the version 2... But I'm not sure.by zzarbi - RepSnapper
Well i don't know what cause the problem bu I've tried repsnapper on windows and ubuntu and both get the same results => Stuck after sending one command. I assumed that it might have been cause by the firmware and so I choose to upgrade to Sprinter Firmware since Kliment's Tonokip is not supported anymore and now everything works fineby zzarbi - RepSnapper
@DeuxVis Do you have the latest version of Repsnapper? Because with the latest one there is a "Printer Controls" tab that used to be the interactive tab, you can see it here: But there is no temperature.by zzarbi - RepSnapper
Oh i see now! Yes we have some menu : File - Edit - Help And the under layer menu such as Preferences. But I have no idea where the temperature is supposed to appear.by zzarbi - RepSnapper
Thats a feature of Unity the new desktop environment of Ubuntu. It's not the same with gnome, so hovering over the title bar doesn't do anything for me.by zzarbi - RepSnapper
I do an it's set to 1 and 1 I guess it make sense now.by zzarbi - Skeinforge
You my want to use the plugin Multiply and put set X and Y at 100mm.by zzarbi - RepSnapper
Hi, I've generated the attached gcode with skeinforge41. Repsnapper load it without anyissue however when I try to print it will go from line 1 to line 18: G90 G21 M103 M105 M113 S1.0 M108 S150.0 M104 S180.0 M108 S150.0 G1 X86.4 Y87.77 Z0.72 F60.0 G1 F798.0 G1 E1.0 G1 F60.0 M101 G1 X86.4 Y112.39 Z0.72 F675.0 E18.066 G1 X89.28 Y112.39 Z0.72 F675.0 E2.113 G1 X89.28 Y87.77 Z0.72 F675.0 E18.066 G1by zzarbi - RepSnapper
I do have the same problem. The 3d rendering is not working... Except if you load a STL file first then convert to gcode. In this case the 3d rendering will show up and you can load any gcode file. But I compiled repsnapper Yesterday I had no problem with 3d rendering but I do not have the temperature menu.by zzarbi - RepSnapper
Hi, I've been playing with skeinforge and learning in the same time. My first problem that the head of my printer was moving way to slow so I adjust it to a Feed rate of 45, it's at least good for now, I'm not printing since my extruder is unplugged. However In the gcode, the first move to go from the corner to the middle of Bed is still a really slow speed rate: G90 G21 M103 M105 M113 S1.0 Mby zzarbi - Skeinforge
Hum Ok it might be that but when redsnapper generate its own gcode I never get this cube. Ill guess I'll try a print tonight. Thank you.by zzarbi - Skeinforge
Thank you Dave. I also had to put the center to 100 on X and Y. Now I have to figure out why repsnapper add a red cube around the object. (See attachement)by zzarbi - Skeinforge
Hi, I'm using repsnapper with ramps with success, but I want to be able to use skeinforge (any version). I tried to use Skeinforge35 with Ultimachine profile: But this doesn't work for many different reason each time I try. So I decided that I'm going to start from scratch with skeinforge41. With the default setting the gcode show up in repsnapper under the bed. So I activated the plugin Dimby zzarbi - Skeinforge
Let says that if you have an issue like short-circuit on you main power (which seem had happen to you on the Pololu), not only you going to kill the ramps shield and the arduino, but you might damage your computer in the same time. That's why it's recommended to use another power for the arduino. But you can use a fuse and calculate how much current this usb host shield need, this will protect tby zzarbi - RAMPS Electronics
I just checked and the USB host shield need to be connected with Mega1280 OR Mega2560 through: - (19) SS = Z_MAX_PIN (Which is not really used, and could be move somewhere else) - (20) SCK = SDA ??? - (21) MOSI = SCL ??? - (22) MISO = Not use at all If you look at that picture: Port 20, 21, 22 seems to not be used either... At least no by the RAMPS shield. Now I'm almost sure that there are useby zzarbi - RAMPS Electronics

When you open repsnapper check the bitrate. It need to be the same as the firmware... My guess is 115200by zzarbi - RAMPS Electronics
It's totally possible, it's just an arduino board... I was thinking about the same thing except that i need an android phone lolby zzarbi - RAMPS Electronics
That is weird... I know that if you start the heating process, it won't stop at all even if you ask it to stop, until it actually get to the temperature of the first command. Your problem is a bit different. Maybe you Mosfet is broken. You can try to switch the extruder to another port/mosfet and change the pin in the firmware and try again.by zzarbi - RAMPS Electronics
I have that on your list: 1. Not moving 2. Moving, but too slow/fast 3. Moving in wrong direction, or only moving in one direction 4. Not heating, or heating too much My axes x/y are working but reallllly slow with the control panel. My axis z works sometime meaning, I can go down once, and go up once and thats it, after i have to wait few minute before being able to move this axis again and itby zzarbi - RAMPS Electronics
Can someone make a zip of everything configured to use ReplicatorG and Teacup firmware for RAMPS? On windows if possible. I tried tonight and I have to say I'm quite lost... First the firmware config.h they are stuff like: #define F_CPU 16000000L What is 16000000L? #define X_STEP_PIN DIO26 #define X_DIR_PIN DIO28 #define X_MIN_PIN DIO3 #define X_MAX_PIN DIO2 #define X_ENABLE_PIN DIO24by zzarbi - RAMPS Electronics
I'm not sure about you question, I think you are missing some port and/or memory on the arduino Duemilanove. But you can even find the arduino mega on amazon... Personally I bought mine on ebay with a Chinese manufacturerby zzarbi - RAMPS Electronics
No to do advertising... You can have a full kit out of Ultimachine.com (http://ultimachine.com/content/ramps-pre-assembled-kit)by zzarbi - RAMPS Electronics
If you really want safety the best choice is to had a second thermostat with a beeping sound or something else when it go over wahtever temperature... I'll advice to never let you printer without supervision... Apparently even the Pololu can take caught fire...by zzarbi - RAMPS Electronics
dissidence Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > looks like you just have to fine tune your > settings a little more, but for your first print > good job though. > > i think i will use that setup just because i know > it is working. Well I'm printing using gcode made by RepSnaper because for some reason (previously posted page2) I cannot load gcode mby zzarbi - RAMPS Electronics
Hi, Tonight I made a print with my first working configuration (I've added it to ) RepSnapper Basic Windows Configuration Mendel RAMPS 3D printer mechanism. Host OS ~ Windows 7 64bits Motherboard for Firmware ~ Ultimachine Ramps 1.1 Ramps Software Firmware (BaudRate: 115200, Special Conf: Inverse Opto) Full Package (+ config file) It made the full print successfully however the quality is rby zzarbi - RAMPS Electronics
Which gen 3 endstops? Those one http://reprap.org/wiki/Generation_3_Electronics/Tech_Zone_Remix/How_to#The_Opto_End-stop? If you are talking about the previous one, they are just opto-sensors... For the ramps you just need to add some resitors to those opto-sensors....by zzarbi - RAMPS Electronics
