is it me or is the blog of blogs getting to be more unstable lately. i wonder if it is following too many things for there system to handle. i do like it allot though.by dissidence - General
that step genie lookes to be a good idea, almost in line with the reprap project, almost what it needs for stepper drivers too.by dissidence - Stepper Motors, Servo Motors, DC Motors
if you want to see the start of my idea , look at the post on my blog from today june 3rdby dissidence - Controllers
it will be a take between my current one and johnny R's one, within a week i will have the designs posted, i hope.by dissidence - Controllers
on that note i am looking at doing an order for the pcb design on the wiki page that is there, i may modify it a little but when i get the design posted i would like to see if any one would like to order some. any one who is interested send me a pmby dissidence - Controllers
the one thing that, the arduino pololu shield needs is a better shield layout, and so far i have not found one that will work for what i would consider a no compromise shield i am using the arduino mega shield from arduino, and i could not get it to work in the layout i wanted, i always seemed to be off by one hole. layout this one is close, i may or may not try it in my next revision it is moby dissidence - Controllers
i would like to have a group made for Saskatchewan Canada if you want to make if for a city, Regina would be a good oneby dissidence - Saskatchewan RUG
i like the pololu drivers my self, so far they have worked great for me. and i like them allot for my steppers. though my driver setup is a littel differnet than the one in the wiki i do like the idea of just being able to pull out a dead driver. and putting a new one in its place.by dissidence - Controllers
i dont doubt you a bit, i just have not seen many on the sites i go to, but seeing how simple they are i am surprised i have not seen many controllers for them thats all. i will have to look into them a little more,by dissidence - Stepper Motors, Servo Motors, DC Motors
is it me or is there not much out there for unipolar stepper drivers, i have only seen one so fare but then again i am not really looking for them too. i do wish there was more information out there has to what kinda torque you need on your stepper if you want to use a geared extruderby dissidence - Stepper Motors, Servo Motors, DC Motors
there are ways of doing just that if you look around just look at cnc controlers most that i have seen are very much over kill but a person would if he really wanted too.by dissidence - General
i had that same issue when i first tried to test my stepper motor driver and for me it was trying to step too fast for my motor or the controller i am not over sure just yet. you may want to try slowing your stepper down a little to see if that helpsby dissidence - General
i think you can run more than one reprap from a computer now, you just have to assign what port it is on, i remember seeing it in a video from a universityby dissidence - Controllers
so has much as i hate to say it, sounds kinda like the arduino team would benefit from trying to support the armduino in some way. i can see your argument for the debuger, but at the same time has a fairly new person to embedded electronics i do like it for what it is right now, easy for me to learn, and if it dose not stay that way to some degree, that will just turn allot of people off the prby dissidence - Controllers
if i remember right when you inport it into blender it will ask you what res you want it at, people on here say one blender unit = 1MM i hope that help. stl files have no defined size in them from what i knowby dissidence - General
i am using the arduino mega clone has well, though i am not as far along has i would like to be. but i am getting there. i will need to place an order for some pololu drivers soon.by dissidence - Controllers
i would like to see a display added to the reprap, even just for debugging information. but i hope to add some buttons to my unit, so that i can manually move my print headby dissidence - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
i was wondering if there was not a way to make this code more modular in design. so that you could just put in your stepper drivers module, and help clean up the code that wayby dissidence - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future

me i would just like to see some tools that could make it so that there would be a few less steps to take from one you design it to when you print it, i just find that it is the one that i can use the best to do what i want to buildby dissidence - General
i am starting to wonder how hard it would be to get google to start to add some of the code needed to sketchup so that it would be less hassle to use it for the reprap project. i am thinking summer of code projectby dissidence - General
in that regard it is allot like cast iron cook wear, it is not the best conductor has well, that is why it has nice even cooking. with aluminum you can still end up with hot spots, being a good conductor can be a bad thing has well. i do not see why the tile could not get hotter for abs, ceramic should be able to take just has much heat in this regard has any metal, i would also like to find ouby dissidence - General
i know at that price i am thinking about getting one, for me that would work, and the price is about right, it will save me some trouble that is for sureby dissidence - General

i was thinking about printing right onto the tile, with kampton tape on it.by dissidence - General
hey i had a thought today about trying to use a ceramic floor tile for a heated printing bed, i would have to do some checking to see what ones would work better with a heater attached to it. but i think it would be a good idea. to try any how, or has any one else tried this idea.?by dissidence - General
i do not dout that it will only get a few dollars cheaper for them, but right now i will take a dollar where ever i can save it. but still even if they can just make a little more profit too, that is good news too, and other companies will start to take more notice of them and there product too.by dissidence - General
i guess this will all come down too how they want to make there money, in parts or in labor. i am in canada so it dose not save me time or money buying from them, but they did have a nice setup last time i looked though, i gotta give them that much.by dissidence - General
