so long has you have a square frame thats all that matters, repraps will even print upside down.by dissidence - General
I did what you just did. Have you tried running slic3r from a different directory.?by dissidence - Slic3r
What firmware are you using. Homing is normally done to 0,0 if set to home at min. That is normally to the left side and the bed is to the back.by dissidence - General
i have wondered if any one has tried using the reprap to print a circuit onto a pcb then etching it off, i wonder what would work best PVA, PLA, ABS.by dissidence - Paste Extrusion Working Group
i ran into a problem like that once where i put a new version over a old version, the setting ini files were not compatable.by dissidence - Slic3r
motor side dose not matter much, what side dose it home to the min or max side if it is set to home to min but you have it setup to go to the max side you will get your exact problemby dissidence - General
what slicer are you using.? you might want to look into cool settings.by dissidence - General
i have seen work being done on injet printing onto the pcb but it seems to be quiet again.by dissidence - General
i thought i saw a program like that some time ago, when i was looking at hacking a circuit for cutting pcb out for me. but its slipping my mind.by dissidence - General
i saw the videos of your printer the other day, i like your ideas, it has me thinking a lot about trying to build one my self.by dissidence - Mechanics
you know i don't think i have ever seen that one before.by dissidence - General
i like that duel parking idea. its got me thinking now.by dissidence - RAMPS Electronics
i think the hardest part is the money though. for long term stability it should be able to stand on its own 2 feet so to speak.by dissidence - General
lol 1013 you just proved my point, but i did like the old thingiveres too. i just don't have a better place to send people yet.by dissidence - General
i cant say that i am nearly the fan i was of Bre. i do feel like he sold reprap out. i am still looking for a good alternative to thingiverse, but nothing out there has that level of polish yet that i can send people too. i can understand why he did what he did, but i still feel like he did through reprap under a very larg bus.by dissidence - General
i am using a piece of cork board under my heater, seems to be working well so far.by dissidence - General
its worth a thought none the less, but i think there are a lot of other things that come into account too, like infill and temps during print, but these are good results to see.by dissidence - General
one thing to mention is how comfortable are you with putting one together vs do you want one that is just ready to go.? what else is important to you.?by dissidence - General
i hope your lucky enough to have a few cute nurses bob. get better soon.by dissidence - General
the other benefit to doing it that was is that you can check your gcode on sites like this http://gcode.ws/ and yes the pre sets are very handyby dissidence - General
I would have never thought of using loctite. Seen a lot of discussion on super glue, not sure what to think my self yet.by dissidence - RAMPS Electronics
Ya I learned about the UPS tax that way too.by dissidence - General
i think this may help you. http://reprap.org/wiki/RAMPS_1.4 all the stepper drivers that came with the heatsyncs had thermal glue on the heatsyncs already. it looks a little like double sided tape.by dissidence - RAMPS Electronics
i have seen a few ideas like this come up over time, but i dont think you could switch materals. if they are all coming throught the same tip. if you got it up to 5 you would be on the way to full color printing.by dissidence - Mechanics
if it is not reading the correct temp it would be worth a try,by dissidence - General
my self i dont see it being much different, after it is built. they really work the same after that. what about looking into a local hackerspace if you need more help building one. i am glad you find this tech helps you, i never gave it much though to how it could help people like yourself.by dissidence - General
its hard to tell from the pic, it looks very pixelated to me. or its amazingly rough. but what properties are you trying to make any how.?by dissidence - General
