Hello, i have a problem with repsnapper. i compiled it on ubuntu 10.10 and it works, but only half. when i open it the config and some other menues are missing. on startup i get the message: Could not load settings file: FileIOException any idea?by goaran - RepSnapper
Ich habe alle 3 Achsen gleich (sind auch Baugleich, ist eine CNC eigentlich) hier mal meine config #ifndef CONFIGURATION_H #define CONFIGURATION_H /* * This is the configuration file for the RepRap Motherboard microcontroller. * Set values in it to match your RepRap machine. * * Lines in here with a *by goaran - Altes Forum
finaly i finished the extruder: and mounted it to my cnc mill... think ill test it the next days.by goaran - Plastic Extruder Working Group
Thanks for the quick answer. ok, then i'll just leave the stops where they are and. ^^ mirrord parts, if they are symmetric i dont mind.by goaran - Mechanics
Hello, i want build a reprap where the endstops are at min(x) min(y) but max(z). Do they always have to be at the min location or is it possible to put the z-endstop at the top and somehow change that in the firmware?by goaran - Mechanics
Hello , why is everybody using skeinforge? what are the advantages using skeinforge instead of the reprap host-software ore other skein-softwares? greetzby goaran - Skeinforge
Thanks, i forgot there was this config file. Already edit it at the begining m( now everithing is fine...by goaran - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Hello, i built a new reprap, which has different dimensions and the axis are driven by ballscrews. Therfore i have to change the absolute size of the working area and the steps per mm. where can i find these values in the firmware? thanks in advanceby goaran - Firmware - mainstream and related support
i started building the extruder tonight. the thermal part is finished, next i will mill the the gear-block.by goaran - Plastic Extruder Working Group
Hello, i have a extruder controller 2.2 which uses a stepper motor as drive. I want to wire this to EMC2 using the python scripts from sam: To wire it up i use the usb-ttl converter right? or is it easyer to use the rs232 port at the pc and use a max232 to use the uart? Now my question. normaly the i2c interface has to be connected to the extruder controll when driving steppers. I dont want toby goaran - EMC2
Ok thanks, ill think about how to keep it short - maybee 10mm should be fine ok, first i added the gears... i did the rpm speed reduktion in two steps what results in smaller gears and makes it samller. the gear ratio is now about 1:16 think that is fine.... and the skein is pushed twice which allows lower preasure and therfore less deformation i hope... if somebody is intrested in here areby goaran - Plastic Extruder Working Group
@nophead ok, i didnt know someone did this befor. so im gonna read a bit about the experiences before i start building it. if the glass really breaks it is possible to replace it withe the default PTFE without changing the concept. how important is it to keep the meltzone small? in the default desing the brassy tube is also about 25mm long and brass conducts heat not that bad. your design withby goaran - Plastic Extruder Working Group
Thanks for the fast replies. I have a cnc reprap, so with the size there will be no problem, maybee its possible to adjust the design a bit for use in mendel as well. The fins of the resistors are bad, i know, (but they look really nice maybee ill put some insulating material around there. Another idea would be milling out the place for the resisotrs from a bigger aluminum part in the middel aby goaran - Plastic Extruder Working Group
Hi there,.. at the time i'm updating my cnc mill to reprap and i thougt a bit about the extruder. i came up with this concept then.. the drive works kind of like in wades extruder, but for heating i use dale high-power resisors. i allready tried if the work fot the needed temperatures and it seems to be no problem: the heat barrier will be a glas-tube which i found in the basement and the coby goaran - Plastic Extruder Working Group

Hello, has anybody here tried pyCAM? i dont really get it.. if i import a model i can generate the GCode for it, but it cuts the final depht at the first time. that will only work with cheese, how can i generate code that cuts step by step deeper into the material? or is there another OS-Linux Programm that can do so ... kind of a skeinforge for millig... thanks in advance...by goaran - CNC Routers, Mills, and Hybrid RepRapping
