If by any chance some of you are going to the 3D Print Show in Paris (this friday/saturday), come say Hi at the booth 25A ! We are in a corner but you will see a big RepRap banner I don't intend to make it look official, just a sort of improvised meeting point for fellow french reprappers (inspired by the TCT event I wish I could attend) also as a tribute to the RepRap Project and especially asby Emmanuel - General
Iyo !
After a full redesign, this one is much better It have a little less grip than the one with two spring but it still work fine (and could hold two if needed)by Emmanuel - FoldaRap
If I not already mentioned it here, have a look at the Alex's build, he's the first to beta-test this model on this post, the dwarf shown is 190mm high and took 13hrs to print !by Emmanuel - FoldaRap
Nice build, thanks for sharing ! 250W should be enough, a friend is running a big MK2 pcb with a cheap 120W on a FoldaRap-Mendel, even while his last print took 13hrs ^^ BTW where are you based ? Just to add you on the map :by Emmanuel - FoldaRap
Héhé félicitations Longue vie à la #069 !by Emmanuel - RepRap Groupe d'Utilisateurs Francophone
24-oct Nancy-Marseille (Convention Club APM) By train, metroby Emmanuel - FoldaRap
an idea for a compact extruder, a little simpler than the existing one :by Emmanuel - FoldaRap
on the same idea I holded the extruder motor with blue tape ^^'by Emmanuel - FoldaRap
It's not the most durable way, but it can help while printing a endstop holderby Emmanuel - FoldaRap
19-oct Nancy-Paris (Gaîté Lyrique) By train as usualby Emmanuel - FoldaRap

18-20 sep Nancy-Bordeaux By train, car (Université des CCI 2013) I was showing the #054 with the new-old-hotend, in front of 700 people after only one try the night before ;-)by Emmanuel - FoldaRap
11-14 sep Nancy-Avignon By train (yet another workshop ^^)by Emmanuel - FoldaRap
In fact I like the both, but on my personnal prototypes I tend to prefer blue tape, it is just simpler But a little harder to fine tune... so I'm still sending kits with heated-bed for the moment, and later let people choose it or not as an option, probablyby Emmanuel - FoldaRap
I've no heatsink on the Melzi and for the current limit it depend of your motors, for the usual 1A it require a Vref of 0.4V (0.45V for the extruder as it need more power)by Emmanuel - FoldaRap
Some weeks ago I started to had extrusion problems : a wire of the hotend's fan broke Must be changed otherwise the filament will soften to early in the hotend, at least a 40mm generic fan is a cheap replacement...by Emmanuel - FoldaRap
Thanks The belt are tensioned inside of the extrusion channel, by using the t-nut and a M4x10 bolt, the carriages (X, Z and I hope someday in Y too) are just printed in PLA at 20x20mm and fit the square shape of the aluminium extrusion That mean, no smooth-rods, no linear bearing, just printed parts ^^by Emmanuel - FoldaRap
Outch ! The laptop going in sleep mode, I had it few times too ^^' if you react quickly you can resume the print where it stopped, but as you seen if the mainboard is not disconnected properly it can freeze on what it's doingby Emmanuel - FoldaRap
I recently discovered that a guy working before at 3D-System had set up is own company few years ago, around a big UV printer, the idea is still to use a DPL, but it's small and move over a huge vat (you can have a glimpse of it around 7:30)by Emmanuel - Polymer Working Group
