Just a little update, we have yet to program the famility tree generation from the database of printers, but about the growing database, you are all more than welcome to contribute to it by using this simple google form, each time you see a new printer popping out somewhere the form : (the database is here : )by Emmanuel - General
oh, sorry to hear that : o I'm using Sketchup with the guitar-pro plugin to export .stl/.dxfby Emmanuel - FoldaRap
going to implement it in the next prototypeby Emmanuel - FoldaRap
sorry for the confusion, to answer the question : you need 603zzby Emmanuel - FoldaRap

Several people were having some trouble with the Z-endstop (not always well glued, or prefering to use screws), and Xav83 came up with some ideas for a endstop-holder... I tried a few thing too, and finally ended with that simple part that hold the endstop with a zip-tie, and could be used on any 20x20 aluminium extrusion (I'll probably use this part in other machines)by Emmanuel - FoldaRap
well found Deuxvis but they are the same (yet slightly different), I've just removed the fins to hold the bearings by using a zip-tie instead (fins tended to broke sometimes)by Emmanuel - FoldaRap
623zz will work but they are 1mm thinner than the 603zz, I prefer the last thenby Emmanuel - FoldaRap
Thanks for the information I seen someone (CDNreprap on a thread about peltier, who used them without temp control just leaving it self-regulating) using ABS, in my case I only use PLA. Tried once to print ABS but indeed it's hard to go higher than 80°C : / (theoretically the delta between the two face is 60°C max, so if the "hot face" is around 80°C the "cold face" is probably at 20°C, with soby Emmanuel - FoldaRap
Personally I never use ABS, I tried once without much success (but blue tape + heated bed seems to works at slightly lower temp than kapton), and only know of one person who did it but ended with mixed pla/abs and clogged his nozzle ^^'by Emmanuel - FoldaRap

I guess it's all related to the temperature gradient and the viscosity of PLA in the hotend. The one-piece nozzle is maybe a little short if you compare it to the prusa-nozzle (right on the picture), and despite the cooling block I guess the heat goes up enough to heat the filament sooner than on the two-part design, making it harder to push (while it's not a problem on geared extruders, we wereby Emmanuel - FoldaRap
Interesting fact : from the FoldaRap Workshop at the FacLab the other week, a machine is running a one-piece-nozzle, with the normal direct-drive. We didn't had many time to try it but the oshw logo I usually make as a first print was good. Bad news, when I tried to repeat the experience on a recenlty build FoldaRap, it didn't worked... Good news, on another machine finished the day after, itby Emmanuel - FoldaRap

I'm using it in my mini-extruders, experimentally derivated for the Foldarap, and it seems great so far. I'll probably make more geared extruder thanks to it, keep making them !by Emmanuel - For Sale
