I was able to solve this issue. I'm not 100% sure what fixed it...but the last thing I changed before things started working was to enable the #EEPROM option in the firmware. When the board booted up, it asked to initalize the EEPROM, and after that, everything worked. (So perhaps it was using EEPROM settings from the 1.1.0 firmware, even though #EEPROM was not enabled???) I had also changed seby summetj - Firmware - Marlin
I've got a MTW MiniMax that used to be running Marlin 1.1.0 with a generic (Chinese knockoff) REPRAP_DISCOUNT_FULL_GRAPHIC_SMART_CONTROLLER. Everything used to work correctly with 1.1.0. I'm in the process of upgrading to Marlin 2.1.1. New firmware flashed, logo appears on LCD. Using the LCD I can manually move the X / Y and Z axis in the correct direction (MIN is towards zero) towards my endby summetj - Firmware - Marlin

Well, glad to hear it's not just me...guess I'll have to install/setup/learn Skeinforge....by summetj - Slic3r
I am trying to print a kline vase with a raft under it, but when I turned on the raft it also appears to have turned on all support for many layers. So I turned off the raft option, and I enabled 10 layers of "Enforce support for the first:" X layers. Unfortunately, this ALSO enabled support material (for more than 10 layers!). I'm using slic3r directly from the github repository, updated yesteby summetj - Slic3r
I upgraded my slider from 0.9.8 to 0.9.11-dev (from github) and re-sliced a project using a saved .INI file with only one change (turning on the "wipe" option to test it with my bowden tube rostock mini). Unfortunately, all infill disapeared from the gcode! I found two new lines in the newly exported INI file that didn't have a zero or a one after them: infill_first = infill_only_where_needeby summetj - Slic3r
Update: I was able to get Slicer 0.9.11-dev running on Ubuntu 10.04 by "compiling" from source. I basically followed the instructions here: I also had to run cpan to install a few packages, notably Wx, which had a lot of dependancies, including libwxgtk2-dev that had to be installed with apt-get. After a lot of compiling of binary-to-perl adapters and re-running the Build.PL file a few timesby summetj - Slic3r
It was my understanding the slic3r included most/all dependancies in it's pre-build packages, but I went ahead and did a sudo cpan Boost::Geometry::Utils and it installed (plus a lot of dependances) but I'm getting the same error. Perhaps it's because my GLIBC library is out of date? /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.14' not found Jayby summetj - Slic3r
Thanks! Glad it's not specificly due to my "older" OS, because I don't particularly want to upgrade...I hope you figure it out for me! Jayby summetj - Slic3r
I downloaded Slic3r 0.9.10b and tried to run the prebuilt linux executable (On ubuntu 10.04) and got this error message: Can't load '/home/summetj/Desktop/Slic3r/lib/vrt/e779d601fd7ca8fdd2a8acf4ede8c7fc/Utils.so' for module Boost::Geometry::Utils: /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.14' not found (required by /home/summetj/Desktop/Slic3r/lib/vrt/e779d601fd7ca8fdd2a8acf4ede8c7fc/Utils.sby summetj - Slic3r
