Gaou, Thank you once more for the suggestion. I used my power supply to power up both the extruder hotend and the hot bed, both gained temp at acceptable rates and achieved greater heating then has been observed to date. This leads me to believe that there is something wrong in either the setup or I am not able to get power from the ramps to the devices. Anyone have any ideas? Cheers! Cybe

First off, thanks for taking the time to read this post. SO here is the deal, I have built a Prusa i3 kit from Foldger Tech. It seems to be a decent enough kit. O Lampe, Sorry I thought it was an assumed that I would have the Mega as part of that picture (which was clearly talking to the laptop, we had the current Marlin firmware loaded.) All right, I am trying to understand why this issue occurred. I and the young man who helped me and identified the cause, but we were not able to understand the WHY of it. Here is the issue, we had voltage of 12.36 from the power supply to the RAMPS, same on the headers at the power supply. Pocketmoon, makovai, and remoteflyer, it sounds like all of you went the route or purchasing a kit. What was your reasoning for not sourcing it yourself? I ask this having moved well into the process. Yes I am having second/third thoughts about going this route. My justification being that I keep telling myself it is the best way to learn how this works. I will be curious as to your answers.
