Another thing, the resistor is not touching any metal parts and measure the resistance with a multimeter, it should show 5 to 6 ohm. If it's shorted at the resistor then it will not show 12V.by skangreprap - RAMPS Electronics

yup, my filament was getting squished so I up the bed to .3mm. Now I have another problem. The extruder is keep getting jammed and the filament won't go in smoothly. I've tried tightening the tension screw and loosening it but the problem is more consistent now. When the extruder change speed from slow to fast, it gets jammed. When the extruder retract a 1mm it also jams. Any ideas? I noticed whby skangreprap - RAMPS Electronics
Switch to sprinter firmware and test your setup. You may lack the lcd and sd card support but it will run your motor for testing purposes.by skangreprap - RAMPS Electronics
What's the power supply model/rated? Also does the supply wire support more than 16A?by skangreprap - RAMPS Electronics
Have you checked the input voltage from your power supply? There is one for 5A and 11A. Both should be getting 12V. Also what is the wattage on your power supply? It needs to be rated for 350watt or more but the most important thing is that the 12V wire need to support more than 16A total if your supply the 5A an 11A.by skangreprap - RAMPS Electronics
Hello, I got everything working finally, trying to calibrate the extrusion. My extruder is .35mm and when it extrude a single height, the thickness is on aveage 1.30mm. I'm sure this can be controlled by the extruder feed rate but changing the feed rate on the sprinter firmware doesn't seemed to reduce the thickness. Anyone know where else to look for, also what is the ideal thickness for .35mmby skangreprap - RAMPS Electronics
Theprost and BlackDaddy, I used repetier firmware and repetier host and saw the same issue, the extruder was not moving but I know it does get some sort of signal because when I hit the extruder, the motor froze and as soon as I turn off the power supply, I can freely move the motor. I never got to fix that issue in repetier and jumped back to the sprinter firmware with Pronterface. In sprinterby skangreprap - RAMPS Electronics

Here are some troubleshooting steps I took. As far as I can tell, all the hardware is working perfectly. Currently, all my hardware works, X,Y,Z, heatbed, extruder. My issue is that extruder will not extrude forward or reverse when hitting the pronterface extrude button. Same thing I've observed on Repetier firmware with Repetier host. Step 1: I switched out the stepper motor cable and the steby skangreprap - RAMPS Electronics
I have some what similar issue on pronterface with sprinter firmware and RAMPS 1.4. Extruder motor does not turn. The motor was tested with another axis. stepper driver switched and works fine. I've ruled out motor and stepper on the extruder. I've also loaded merlin firmware but when I hit the extruder button on pronterface, all motor(x,y,z) moves very slowly excluding extruder motor.
