Guess I should have read a few posts down. LOLby GSD - RAMPS Electronics
If you have a 1.4 RAMPS, you have to put a jumper on the top 2 of the 3 pins to the left of the reset button. That gives 5v to servo pins.by GSD - RAMPS Electronics
Solved. Thank you for the help. That's exactly what it was. When I had a shorted thermistor and was reading 959C. This let the motor run. To test this, I set min extrude temp to 20 and yeehaa. Now to try to get it to print.by GSD - Prusa i3 and variants
I’ll go back through the code to see if I had enabled something by accident.by GSD - Prusa i3 and variants
Ok this is what I have: Arduino Mega2560 Ramps 1.4 5 - NEMA 17 Hi Torque motors driven by A4988s 3 - Mechanical endstop switches Here's my problem, my extruder motor will not move when connected to E0 but will move when connected to and axis position on the board. I have swapped Ramps, A4988s and Motors. Here's my config.h file: /** * Marlin 3D Printer Firmware * Copyright (C) 2016 MarlinFby GSD - Prusa i3 and variants

Thanks for the help guys. It was a U8glib.h issue. Having another issue now.by GSD - Prusa i3 and variants
I have just switched the extruder to the X position and still not rotating in both directions. When I put the x motor on the extruder connection, the carriage moves in both directions. Help,Please.by GSD - Prusa i3 and variants
Hey all, I want to thank those that helped me with the lcd. Turns out it was a U8glib issue. Now, I have a problem, I think. I have 4 motors that will only move in one direction. I have done the following: Have turned connectors in the opposite direction and the motor rotated the opposite direction. Have switched 2 right wires (yel / blu) and it only went the same as above, the opposiby GSD - Prusa i3 and variants
Yeah, I’m in the same boat. I live in SE WV and there is nothing but a Walmart and Lowe’s and they don’t have anything. I shop Amazon and have never had problems with refunds/replacements and with prime, I get stuff quick with free shipping. Once bought an MJX 101 (quadcopter) and camera didn’t work. Instead of sendin me a new camera, they sent a whole other MJX 101 with a camera plus refunded meby GSD - Prusa i3 and variants
@Roberts_Clif Can I ask where you purchased fan and about how much it cost you?by GSD - Prusa i3 and variants
I have the 2nd one pictured and it is defined in Marlin. I even recompiled to make sure. I read somewhere in this forum that there is a hidden pot on the rear of the board the lcd is mounted to but i wasn’t able to see one. I am gonna try the resistor fix and if that doesn’t work I am going to just forego using the display and use either Octoprint or Pronterface for control. I was using Octoprintby GSD - Prusa i3 and variants
I have tried the cable fix (cables made correctly) and get nothing. I have also checked for the hidden pot on the back of the display board, but I was not able to locate it. So I am guessing that I will have to try a 560 Ohm resistor. Its either that or do away with the display altogether. I like having the jog dial and the fact that I bought the stupid thing and I want to use it. I am getting frby GSD - Prusa i3 and variants
Hi all. I'm new to the forum but I've had my A8 for a couple of months and immediately bought a Pi 3 model B and obviously the boards I mentioned in the subject. My problem is that I am not getting any text on the display. It gets power but nothing else. The brightness adjustment works and I have the correct definition (RepRap discount smart controller) enabled in Marlin. I have triple checked alby GSD - Prusa i3 and variants
